Salmond has said numerous times, though never on tv, (in radio interviews no one listens too) That the Scottish are British, like the Swedish are nordic. He thinks the monarchy is an important part of Scottish / British history and should not be lost.

This is what I say all the time though, people vote SNP because they like the words Scottish Nationalism, they don't actually know what he stands for as a man.

In Salmonds view, the Scottish are British. I believe he once called himself "the last true unionist", he just wants more power for himself and uses the "we care about the scottish" line to win over those who don't read enough to see right through him.

But as long as people don't research things, he gets away with this.
I'm sure he is thinking, just wave your flag and smile... like a British Scotsman.

alex salmond is the real PUPPET the people we see on t.v are not the ones who are in control they are mainy cover boys for the shop front. Scotland has long been infiltrated and controlled by egotistical elites these times are no different only that they give it a smother by caling it democracy.

Opened her speech with "A Uachtaráin... agus a chairde..." ( Irish for "President... and friends...") and also said 'To all those who have suffered as a consequence of our troubled past I extend my sincere thoughts and deep sympathy.'

They shat themselves, ended up just taking the flag pole - thought that was pretty funny.

However, the serious side to it is an absolute disgrace, the whole visit was disgusting.
