Smart play from Saudi Arabia though, 3 of Argentina's front 4 Messi, Gomez and Di Maria are an average age of about 35 and not that fast or able to run as much now. Even Martinez is not that fast a player either.

So they're playing a really high line and it's worked. If they played very deep and tried to defend their box they'd probably be losing worse as Argentina are creative and if they pin them in will probably get through them more but the mad high line means Argentina are having to be very precise.

Wonder if that Alvarez of Man City will come on at HT for DI Maria or Gomez add a bit of pace to the front for running in behind.

De Paul has been awful. There’s goals here for Argentina though. As for the penalty, I think it is. You can’t be looking the opposite direction from the corner with your arms around the opposition player. It’s just daft defending.

The USA and Wales game last night the ref went mad with cards early then stopped giving them later, the ref today will probably do the opposite.
