    Argentina haven’t actually impressed me in this tournament really, 2/3 players aside.

    Hope Argentina do it also but don't know if they have it in them, one thing beating Croatia, Holland, Poland and Mexico who never had much pace about them and all played similar type stuff to Argentina where they played at a slow pace and more defensively.

    France with the pace of Mbappe, Dembele and their midfield who cover a lot of ground and Giroud up front be hard to stop. France haven't even played well I don't think but they've never really looked in any trouble as they have the goals in them to stay ahead of teams or turn it up when they need to, think they will be too strong. France will probably need to be terrible for Argentina to win.

    Second time running we've had a player get a bronze medal at the World Cup. I know they didn't win anything but quite impressive considering both players cost roughly 4.5m combined.

    Would need an absolutely heroic effort from Messi and France to be well off it I think. France have been * poor and are missing players however just think they’ll have too much in the tank for Argentina tomorrow sadly.

    I might just greet if I see the wee man holding that trophy aloft tomorrow.

    Brought me endless joy over the last 15 years or so. Was a spell of 5 years ish when I watched every single match he played in, Barcelona and Argentina. There will never be another like him for me and he's the only player I feel the same love with that I feel when I watch the hoops.

    On a personal level I watched the most of Messi at a time in my own life when things were pretty *, dealing with a bit of depression and general * circumstances, out of work, family trouble etc. Watching the wee man once or twice a week was a release from that and a moment to just appreciate the sport I love best being performed like art.

    Tomorrow I'm Argentinian.
