Fair play to the OP for making this thread. We're all wasting our energy deliberating on an internet forum - but such frustrations won't be heard in the offices of Parkhead. The fans need to find a way to effectively articulate the differences in aspiration.

The fans want to see Celtic push the boundaries of its capabilities, whereas the board are happy with faux-achievements like winning the SPL.

It will be the 90's again soon enough, mate.

Playing what looks like nice football, but winning * all. The 90s that all the happy clappers rant on about is soon upon us again when former Rangers come back.

Aye, we are all aware how * the nineties were man. However that doesn't excuse the present day. The board must love * like that. Well, we had it bad then, its not as bad as that, so il begrudgingly accept that.

What happened to us back in the 90's was a disgrace and should never have been but we can't using that as the measure of all negativity.

What is going on at our club is bad (not as bad as the 90's but its still bad). It looks as if we are down-sizing, yet we are still paying premiums. Why? We are still paying Lawwell 1 million pound a year and signing duds. Its a disgrace.

Im really happy we are winning in the credit league, that healthy spreadsheet cup makes me well up with pride.

A club our size is going to qualify for the CL most of the time but not all of the time.

Like it or not sometimes we are going to come up against clubs in relatively small leagues also who may or may not be better than us.

Winning 6 ties every year is a huge ask, people go on about losing domestic cup ties all the time yet always fail to mention how many of these ties we win year in year out, it's * hard maintaining this.

Now with a new manager and trying to mould players into a new system it can be hard. Ronny will get the time he needs to sort it out. And rightly so.

I certainly don't think we need to be storming the doors of Kerrydale Street just yet.

PL got a sub par manager who wouldn't demand a decent budget and now we are paying the price. It's completely evident.

When Forster and VVD get's the * out of this club it will be all the more evident.

I could not give a * about an old man who doesn't go to any games. My real target is the fans who buy season tickets every year despite the board destroying the club.

    So get to bed.

we had better * players in the 90s, once they sell forster and virgil its game over, who the * will buy the * that remains, year on year the quality of player gets worse, as bad as things were in the 90s about 90% of the current playing staff wouldnt have got in our first team, thats how * Lawwell and co have made us

Thing is we all knew this was the case. That our board were a bunch of penny-pinching wanks who didn't give a * about us.

Really easy to be angry and indignant after a result like that. A lot of what i've read following the game sounds artificial, we qualify next week, and for the group stages, and this anger will go away. Round and round the round-about. Until we crash.

Who knows maybe this is the crash, tonight's result one too many and the fans will have a bit of belief in their ability to change things. Hopefully.

It's pretty stupid really, the way Lawwell plays it. You'd think to protect his position and the boards he'd appease the fans with decent football while consolidating the "family" matchday experience and weeding out any discerning voices.

Hypothetically where could we go with protests? practically, what would be effective?

Boycott is almost useless, ST money in.
Protests at CP etc are useful but again don't really achieve much on their own.

Sonic wave attacks at the directors box? Kidnap Hoopy the Huddle Hound?

I'm all ideas people, this board gotta go.

We had this same meltdown last year.

'We'll sell Hooper and Wanyama and then what?' And the bored spent about 12m.

VVD and Forster will probably leave because wether people like it or not they've outgrown Scottish Football(not Celtic). It isn't just a Celtic problem. Look at Athletico Madrid last season, won la liga and CL finalists yet their team gets dismantled simply because richer teams can offer more money. We're that on a far lower scale.

It happens with every club outside of about the 7 or 8 richest clubs. People are either looking for any excuse to moan or just can't see what's happening in the whole of football.

I've no doubt Ronny will get it right. He has a philosophy that will need time to be set in place and he will need to see who in the current squad are good enough for the long term and who will be capable of fitting his philosophy and working towards a better academy and getting targets in. This will be a long term thing.

Tempers are high after a bad result, but lets be honest the club isn't in any kind of a mess fucksake. We're probably in the best position we've been in off the park and were STILL trying to adjust to being a big fish in an ever decreasing smaller pond.

The way i see it is with the current squad of players we have, imagine what a top class team would do to us, maybe its a blessing in disguise we dont qualify for the CL this season, plus there are also some teams in the Europa League that could take us apart too
