Surely in years of record revenue we should be able to squeeze an extra couple million out though? If your earning more surely you should spend more?

Don't forget the spending isn't the same cause we have been losing high earners and replacing them with lower wage earners also.

The currently policy is not built for progression, it will only render us stagnant or worse.

    Starving is the only response.

    No merchandise.
    No season tickets.
    No hospitality.

    Nothing.

What the * is there to watch ?

Merchandise wise......Do you really want to be associated with this money grabbing pariah of a board ?

Hospitality ?......£100 each for a box and poxy steak ? Get a life.

You really want your mates to have a right good laugh at you ? Even the Sevco ones ?

Give them * all until you get something in return. It's the way business works.

I am up against the wall while the green specs brigade can find no wrong with the running of our club. Sad.

    That make two of us.

I can't fathom some people out. I want to be there when it's good times, but I can't be arsed if I don't get what I want?

The nature of football is great highs and unbelievable lows. Suuport your team when you can, the end. You are coming from the states? Good to hear!

All these quivering wrecks over a UCL exit. People DO realise we don't always qualify for the UCL, do they?

I never knew supporting Celtic had an on/off switch. oh well.

You know fine well it's no the 60 minutes or even the player personally I'm having a go at but the nature of the signing, the guy might turn out yo be brilliant but my gut reaction was pre Legia that young Norwegians with only a few subs appearances for Cardiff were not going to be the type of signings we need right now, you may well disagree for all I know but some experienced players or at least one was the priority and as I sit here a day after the 2nd leg even more so now if we are going to be competing in the Europa League

As * off as many are with the board.

Lets wait and see the ground come the end of August. They cant be blinded by money enough to see that this isn't going to cut it.

End of August, we'll be through our EL playoff and 3 games done domestically. Lets see then IMO.

I have had enough of our current board and think we need dramatic change at that level. I would like to see Brian Wilson, Ian Livingston, Tom Allison step down from the Board. I also think it is time that Peter Lawwell moves on. I have simply had enough of them from the Living Wage issue, lack of investment in playing squad and renting Stadium out for Commonwealth games.

If a protest took place I would be behind it 100%.

First of all, if a supporter thinks a short-term boycott (in whatever form) is in the long-term best interest of the club, I wouldn't conflate that with supporting Celtic having an off switch.

As for me, and my potential first trip to CP... When you have to cross the Atlantic to see a game, you probably don't have too many games in you- in a lifetime. You have to pick and choose. You want it to be as memorable as possible. So no, with supporters demoralized, and legitimate grievances against the Board, it's hard to see now as a reasonable time.

They have been giving on last chance now, if there is no investment in the side then we need to get them out ASAP.

Can anyone actually think of anyone Celtic can bring in to replace the entire board if they where to forced out?.

It's all well and good saying they should leave but business men are business men if money is their life source whoever is in the hotseat will matter not.

Celtic have no serious regular income other then potentially "high" player sales with respect to Scottish football and the odd stint in CL providing we get there.

Without those we have no real income that can help maintain the clubs operation compared to that of fans and what they want spent on players regularly.

Even if we did get say £20 million just from selling VVD and Forster I doubt Deila even if he was give the full lot could spend that much on players as given our stature compared to the rest of the world it would be hard to tempt £5-6mill signings unless we can either get them on a free or pre contract agreement and pay a pittance to their clubs in compensation basically signing a bunch of Ledley's, i.e if it werent for his contract situation for Cardiff there is no way in * he would have ever been a Celtic player.

They need to show some ambition now we have a chance of CL, no more holding back.

Well, if it's spending the fans want....

That guy isn't scared to "speculate to accumulate" from what I've heard.

Or was that speculate to capitulate? :97:

I'm sure there will be a few who will undoubtedly say there is a difference to what they are asking the our board to do compared to what Sevco did to themselves through dodgy loopholes and spending money they never had etc..

To a point they would be true, but the factor still remains that because scottish football has moved nowhere in terms of it's marketable image, take away the the player sales and CL for just one season and the sudden expenditure on playing staff and wages would quickly mount up to how Celtic where just as MON was walking out the door.

We can not afford that as players being sold for amounts that McGeady, Petrov, Ki, Hooper, Wanyama, Forster* and VVD* (*sooner or later) are never going to be guaranteed every season, thus there is then a vicious circle which then leads to uncertainty of getting CL as those type of players are always on the out and Celtic being forever in a "transition".

We do well to earn what we earn at the moment but I feel it's being taken for granted and it really shouldn't because without it money is tight.

The board have one last chance. they've been given a lifeline, they need to bring in players or else we will get pumped from Maribor!

Lawwell should spend. We have just been handed a second chance at a Champions league cash windfall. Im not saying go mental with huge big name signings, but we need quality in the side. If he
