Of course we've been aware of it. I just thought it was worth discussing now that we have some actual numbers to compare with the falsified ones.

I really like this idea and have advocated it in the past. It would need to be priced properly though. If the club attempted to charge people £29 to stand on the terraces it would be unacceptable.

Wouldn't surprise me if they charged more because they'd had to pay to change the stand. Best case scenario with our current custodians would be charging the same.

Nothing will change while we've still got a snake like Lawwell running things. More and more fans will be forced away. We need to get these * out of our club.

Not really surprised, I used to go every week, Coach load of us every week without fail, now that's been reduced to a 16-20 seater.

I stopped going weekly for a number of reasons. Got a seasonal position working on a ski resort in Canada this winter so saving up for that and i'm not willing to put my visa at risk by needless charges, any game I've been to this season I've been stopped, searched etc and any charge innocent or guilty would throw that out the window, a risk i'm not willing to take. How many other feel this way? lets not forget the cost of this to as well, lot of people i used to go with now have family's and houses to pay for and that stopped them from going.

Just a reflection on why me and some of the people i used to go with stopped going, i think a mixture of both reasons has a lot to do with it and i'm not really surprised at attendances. Although my dad always said Celtic only ever had a real hardcore support of 30,000

No big deal, nothing we all didn't know already.

Attendances are poor all across the board in Scotland, but what do we expect?

The quality of player in the game right now doesn't justify the extortionate ticket prices.

What an utterly stupid comment, it's not like they're taking away the opportunity for someone else to buy that season ticket, there's plenty available and it's putting money into the club that we otherwise wouldn't have got had they just taken your advice and "stayed away"

People should engage their brain before getting on their high horse.

Nah mate, the glory hunters can * off, as I said.

Same with all the * that left after 75 minutes today and missed the comeback. I'd rather we had a smaller hardcore support than an extra 30,000 tourists that don't want to be there unless we're playing Barca or Juventus.

Right, so I suppose the £4m in season ticket sales the 10,000 "glory hunters" bring in can * off as well? Thank * you're not on our board.

If the PLC did what I said, terrace the Jock Stein, charge a reasonable amount and allow the proper fans to support the team rather than criminalise them then we wouldn't need to rely on prawn sandwich munchers and fair weather fans.

BBC posted 46,395 for today's game.

    Interesting.

How do you know that would make a difference? All I can see that it would do is give the fans who already have season tickets a cheaper option.

    Let the people sing,
I know people say they are fed up with people going on about attendances but to an extent i'm glad. What bothers me more is seeing rows and rows of empty seats every week, it's utterly embarrassing and depressing while you are at the game.

The more publicity these figures get the more likely they are going to sorted out in some way, i.e either through the ridiculous prices being cut or just more fans actually bothering getting to league games - especially the local support, no blame falls on those who can't afford it or have to travel long distances.

Not surprising at all. Prices are sky high, performances are diabolical and boring and fans get treated horrendously.

I've never been bored at Celtic Park before this season. Truly horrendous performances.

Also, the prices are sky high - £7 for a * burger and fizzy water that is advertised as 'coke'.

So going by these figures and pics from today, there are more police at Celtic games than fans.

I dont see the problem with the club including season ticket holders in the attendance. However its not looking good for season ticket sales next season when a lot of ST holders dont seem to be using them this year.

If (including St holders) there was 46k+ tickets sold for today then that is indeed worrying.

Lucky if there was 35k at the game, meaning 10k St holders never showed up.

hopefully we don't lose them next year.

    Average attendance 33k?! Thats brutal.

We've always prided ourselves on good supporters but how can we claim to be faithful through and through if we can barely fill half our stadium?

Worst attendance figures since the stadium was rebuilt :54:
