I have seen that before regarding Liverpool having a coach to work on throw ins, and it made me pay attention to us in games. Watch how bad we are at them. I can remember many moons ago working on throw ins at U19s with the team I played with. It was a good side granted but that is U19 level. I am certain that we don't though, it's obvious when you watch us.

    There's no idea's to them..

Barely ever take a quick one
    All wee pishy close one's
Half the time the technique of our player's is shown up as they can't lay it back simply enough

For a successful, attacking side....we are as basic as it gets..

Surely to * this isn’t the case? :giggle1:

Said it so many times but nepotism has ruined plenty of institutions bigger than ourselves.

It's * stuff mate. Most of the time it gets thrown long up the line and then it's a lottery. More often than not even if you win the flick on, it's the striker flicking it on to nobody and you are just giving away possession anyway.

It really is farcical what goes on in training..

That is something basic that can easily be coached, quick or long throws and working spaces/triangles in getting out of tight spaces/being pressed..

Same could be said for our set pieces. Zero invention..

Turnbull has taken them on and been a fresh air as it's natural to him but you can tell we barely work on anything out of the box..

Zero invention in most thing's we do..

We literally relied heavily this season on individual quality getting us out of jail but then that soon dried up and our coaching staff had no answer..

Understand where you are coming from and largely agree but Throw-ins are the least of our troubles right now. For so many years we haven’t been able to properly defend corners or set pieces. We really need to bring some proper coaches. The current trio is obviously clueless

Don’t think Lennon has that ability coaching wise to impose a certain style or concept to the players. I would not be surprised if training with Lennon and JK is just drills to get players fit with little emphasis on individual programs or one on one drills to improve players. Also hasn’t it has been mentioned Lennon has little belief in shape and tactics.

The biggest advantage to me from a throw in is that you can't be offside. So if you get one round about the half way line why not have a guy sprinting into an offside position and taking a quick throw in to him. We are particularly bad at them - lose the ball at least 50% of the time.

Yes we need more scouts. But remember the idiots these scouts were responsible for bringing to the club. Who was responsible for scouting Marvin Comper? Or who's taking responsibility for Arzani, Shved, * Kouassi Eboue at 3 million, Bayo, Kundai Benyu or Jack Hendry?? If we had more scouts at one point they weren't very good at scouting

Its the same as defending, we must never do drills defending corners or crosses ffs.

The fact we never have players on posts is * shocking!

This kind of stuff terrifies me. Every top coach spends long periods of time on shape etc but I can imagine his rationale being that O'Neill didn't do it 20 years ago.

For a bit of balance. The snake wanted Hendry himself due to 1 game where he marked Sinclair out of it at right back..

Kouassi was signed after him and Davies watched him on a YouTube clip only..

Bayo was due to Kolo Toure Ivory Coast link..

Arzani was one of our standard City link loan's..

Shved wasn't a snake signing and by all account's was Shevchenko to Desmond as they are friendly..

Compper 100% though but quite a few of those weren't exactly through thorough scouting..

The players haven't looked that fit this season - that, in conjunction with Lennon's lack of tactical ability, is why we have been woeful for the vast majority of this season

Our players just stand still. None of them want the ball. No-one wants to grab a game by the scruff of the neck. They are * scared because they have no ideas and don't have the proper training/coaching to fall back on. It's simple.

Aye, throw ins are at the bottom of the list when it comes to things we need to improve on just now, I agree. They are something else that needs to be better though.

100%. The lack of movement is shocking. If you have watched any team against us this season it's so obvious. The opposition always pass and move. Our players are so pedestrian — a reason why Turnbull has stood out. He is literally the only one who is moving around the pitch.

Defensively, we are easy to pass around because no one is moving to close players or space down. One or to may but not cohesively to be effective.

Offensively, we're easy to defend against as the opposition doesn't have to chase runners. There's no space made to attack. There are no players to pass to as they're easily marked out the game. No one wants the ball because you're going to be blamed for losing it as no one else wants it and there's no space to run into.

Both of those reasons alone is why each match is eye-wateringly boring from our point of view.
