    I take your second point but would say any foreign manager we get won't be any more certain to succeed than the equivalent British candidate. Whoever we get will be a risk. The board thought Deila was a good up and coming young foreign manager and he was average at best.
    I don't agree with your first point. I don't think football is actually that complicated and any intelligent British manager could understand tactics and formations etc just as well as a foreign one.

    Peter Lawwell won’t allow a director of football, unless it’s a lame duck DOF that he can control.

    He simply must be removed. He’s already taken us back to 2010.

    He was on sky sports the other week, he’s never had a job far from his home and said he is enjoying spending more time with his family. Think we’d have to tempt him up with big money, don’t think he’d jump at the chance just now.

    I couldn't agree more - a DoF/Manager combination is the way forward but no combination or manager will work while Lawwell's around. They will either be complete "Yes Men/man" to Lawwell such as Lennon or good ones who will get fed up with Lawwell's interference and walk such as Rodgers.

    In fact a lot of good ones wouldn't even take the role once they understood the influence of Lawwell.

    He is a massive impediment to our club moving forward and needs to go. If we got rid of him and Lennon, pretty much anything after that would be a guaranteed improvement.
