Can't wait to see us compete with Hibs and Aberdeen for 3rd spot.

Would love to see the numbers, but I already fear it is too high, for the renewals. This board have your money and they know you are willing to accept absolute dross. They have no need to splash money.

They don't splash money on the squad till we know what European competition we are playing in, they then spend appropriately and balance the books on the back of that.
You can bet to * they are balancing the books right now for a tight financial year. They done it for 2 seasons when the turnover was £52-4million and maanged just fine. They don't give a * that they can literally double that money, because all that matters is the books being balanced. Easier to spend no money and balance them, than speculate to generate more of it and risk not balancing the books.

So here we are, a tight * board who are full of absolute scumbags, telling us, the fans, we are * worthless yet again.
We could literally all withold all the money for next season, they will simply sell a few players, buy no one, balance the books and then still take out their own share and bonuses. Makes no * difference to them.

End of the day, they know the fans aren't going to pull out their funding to that level (and even if we did, they all know it would be a short term stance).

Anyone, and I make no apology for this, that buys a ticket/merch from them, no matter how you dress it up and convince yourself you have to, you are enabling these absolute *.

Buy it if you want to, but know that you are simply telling the board you are happy to be taken for an absolute mug.

Howe is not to blame in any regard. He’s looking out for number 1, as he should be. This is 100% on the board.

 

What if this is all some big play by the board.

Sink us even further by saying Howe is dead, only to spring it and announce Howe as the manager, so the drastic change in mood is elevated in further to be a very convoluted, mind fuckery way to cash grab?

Feel sorry for whoever the other guy is. He'll know he was never first choice and may even be third or fourth. Doesn't show a lot of faith in the guy.

 

There were a few other managers who were out of work that the board could have went for but chose to go for a guy who wanted the backroom staff that he had worked with only for them to decide they didn't fancy it comedy gold

Pretty much the way I see it. Howe has been stringing us along all this time, watch him take either the West brom, crystal Palace etc job in the next few days.

At the end of the day he is just another English * that cant see past the end of the nose he uses to look down on football anywhere else but engulfed.

the incompetence of the board lies in allowing themselves to be played like a second hand fiddle. Still no excuse and should be removed forthwith.

 

My thinking as soon as this started dragging was that Howe was stringing us along as an insurance policy should a better ‘gig’ (ie higher paying) not come up. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had no real intention of ever signing on the line. Why should a club of our size have to wait for any manager to join up.

It’s embarrassing if that’s what we’ve allowed to happen.

 

I’m not really surprised by this, the delay was just far too long but I am a little bit gutted.

However, it says a bit more than just the board * it, which they 100% did.

Howe definitely is part of this and I think he’s seen the way the club is run or had a better offer.

It should have been very simple, after all the negotiations, here’s the deal sign it by this date or we move on to our next target (the contact doesn’t need to start until after his Bournemouth bonus). And we should have a list of targets, as there are plenty of talented managers out there.

For me it’s a simple decision, if we appoint someone like Roy Keane, John Kennedy or of that quality I won’t be renewing. We’ve all paid out so much money to the club this past season, the foundation, the merchandise and so much others parts Celtic are involved in throughout the pandemic to make sure our club is in a good a position as possible.

We’ve been treated like *, there isn’t even a season ticket campaign, they couldn’t even deliver that. It’s genuinely just buy your season ticket blindly.

I really hope there is some sort of plan, we announce a DOF which is more important than the manager and then we get a manager who can get us playing some form of attacking, high pressing system that is just enjoyable to watch again.

And managers like Steve Clarke and Callum Davidson can * off as well, they know how to set a team up to defend, fantastic but we’d despise watching that.

 

I can see it being Roy Keane and Fergus Harkin. Roy's the boy. It'll be the old pals act under Dermot. Lenny 2.0.

We've waited month's and the vision would've been/was Howe and everything that came with him from behind the scene's, training, style of play etc etc

Now we'll no doubt get some dull as * appointment that won't give anyone a lift and with no real style of play, idea's..

The club need to announce something as damage limitation. Their reputation is ruined. We are an utter laughing stock and they Will continue to ignore us, yet expecting us to fork out out season tickets. Utterly incompetent.
