Beyond fed up now with this whole situation. If this falls through we're back to square 1. I don't trust the the board, but I need to have faith in them, that they do care and are doing their best to sort this ASAP. What a * situation.

We aren't getting Howe.

Can't see our new ceo wanting to cow-tow to a potential new manager and give him everything he wants, if it is to be believed Howe is wanting his own DOF.

At this point now, we need to move on, get DOF in immediately and have them focus on getting in players and a new manager.

Delays everything again when this all should of have been sorted within days of Lennon getting sacked.

Review of behind the scenes began end of last year. A consultant agency was enlisted. 9 weeks since Lennons left. And no further forward. No hint of a structure, plan or vision. No communication. And they will need to get season tickets sold soon, which will be a hard task as it's VST only (at the time being). Players being sold on, on who's authority?!

So much wrong, so much to plan and sort for, with little time. The days and weeks slip by....and nothing. How much more time do we give Howe, if it is indeed him.

I just think it's crazy at the lack of respect and communication there is to the fans.

 

I'd still be happy with this, Man City u23 season ends next Friday too.

Yep, reeks of his incompetence. The guy has been out his depth in football for 15 years. He’s been embarrassing the club for all that time.

 

You can't spell RasenBallsport Leipzig e.V. Soccer Club without the letters C, e, l, t, i, c, I see what you did there.

 

What a weird thing, seeing two major clubs in Europe announcing the departure and arrival of managers due for the end of season....
You'd think in Scotland that we would never be allowed to do such a drastic thing and must only wait till end of season!!!

Genuinely of the belief now, DOF is by the most urgent appointment we need to be making and is, by some * distance more critical than a new manager.

I'm of the thinking now, that a serious DOF who is given the ability to ramp youth development, ramp up scouting ops and set out a long term vision will bring more success then hiring someone of the ilk of Howe right now.

With the right DOF, we could easily go in and get a Ronnie, who can coach and bring out the best in youth and win the league and to that extent we will not need some marquee big money name like Howe, Rafa, Jose and all those names we've been linked with like the American and so on.

 

We as supporters should be expecting a Rolls Royce type manager when in fact our board are looking at a 1980 Lada

I think I've been a little more patient compared to some but I'm starting to lose the plot with Celtic on this.

We've still not even got the DoF position over the line while other clubs throughout Europe have started the Manager merry-go-round. What exactly is happening behind the scenes at the club? We've apparently had our internal post-mortem, employed an outside agency to assist with talent scouting and still nobody through the door to get this rebuild moving.

I appreciate the new CEO is just in the door but we'd be naive to think McKay would not have been involved in discussions with the board - they've all got phones.

Do we actually want a DoF? Are the board content with the current coaching staff?

A level of transparency and honesty would be refreshing.

 

I am bored of the Howe saga now, to the point where I would rather take a punt on Maresca.

Howe would have certainly been the safer appointment, but I think that Maresca would be a more exciting appointment in some ways.

 

How backwards is it that we are reportedly trying (and failing) to find a director of football of whom our top managerial target approves?

We are an omnishambles.
