Potential Manager Suggestions?

Never liked the man after Seville as I'm a pretty unforgiving *, not a fan of his style of football, also don't think for a minute he would be interested in this backwater.....but, if there was an inkling of a chance it would be remiss to not at least consider it.

Would still prefer a young coaching style manager who understands the * needs of the modern day footballer.

The mind is as important as the body and coaching as we have found out to our great loss this season.

Haha people who pine for Benitez don’t want Jose ... very similar records and circumstances those guys is take either if possible I actually think the prem and prima Donna players has tarnished Jose rep a wee bit he should go back to his roots to a club like ourselves or Porto where he’s the big name not the players

Also wouldn’t want him either. The guy’s stock is lower than ever and he’s shelf life is shorter than ever. It took him, what, a year before it went all * up at Spurs? Whereas you were always guaranteed 2 good years at least prior to that.

Wouldnt want mourinho ! Would be another lennon where you could see it wasnt working and he wouldnt change it as its his way and his stubbornness would kick in ! Yea he could attract good players but would be terrible football to watch

 

I cannot believe there are folk out there who would refuse the chance to sign the most successful manager in European Football over the last 20 years. Christ almighty. Every * and their dog wanted Rafa and when we can get an upgrade on Rafa, we don't then want him? Mental.

Like I said, he needs a ready made squad and/or an endless pot of money to spend on top players. He doesn’t improve players any more or bring through youth.

We are in a massive rebuilding stage. We need someone to come in and improve the players we currently have, make more use of our academy and have a forward thinking, progressive attitude on and off the pitch.

Mourinho doesn’t fit that at all.

 

In any case, it’s a pointless discussion. There’s no chance Mourinho is managing in Scotland.

Have to agree with this. Mourinho is outdated and as football is evolving he is getting found out more.

 

Has to be Arteta for me. Proven in England and will have at least a vague knowledge of the city.

Still stand by, McKay was brought in earlier to oversea and do some finer negotiating on the Howe deal.
It was never just so he could be the one to announce him, these guys do actually need to do some work and that is what he will be doing.

It is however disappointing that we haven't heard anything of a development at all after a working week in the job, be it an update leaking out about Howe or simply a * "Hi, I am the new guy, here is my first official press release".
From a guy apparently very good at PR and fan engagement, week one has been the * worse he could have done.

As for Jose? still absolutely no * chance at all.
Let's be honest, if he is planning to step away from the glamour of La Liga, EPL and Serie A, he will * off back to Portugal for a chance to "settle" or to USA for a much higher wage than we would ever offer him and a much better standard of living.

i wasnt comparing him to lennon in the sense of winning things but his demeanour and stubbornness is very like lennon its his way and thats all that matters he doesnt change the way he does things even if it is not working like lennon! Also other than porto and maybe inter mourinho has had a lot of money to spend on his teams
