Jose as manager, Howe as coach, Enzo as reserves manager, Keane as motivational speaker and James McLean as ambassador of club culture. Heard it hear first. #ITK

I don't want to go as far as saying its a backwards step because it clearly wouldn't be but he's not the answer.

Jose is never coming here but it would be the biggest managerial coup Scotland has ever seen and by some distance.

The only thing getting Jose would tell me is that the club had some intent but to be honest he seems to have 1 good season and then his team goes * up. Isn't happening anyway

Not that we would ever get Jose but a name of his alone would get these players putting in the extra 20 percent needed, we just need a big appointment this is huge for our club after this season we have had if the appointment isn’t a big deal then it’s just not good enough

Wasn’t expecting things to be so quiet. If nothing is announced by the end of the week I can’t see us getting anyone worthwhile

jose lol - no one remember that UEFA final * that!

if the last 2 seasons has told us anything surely we need a modern manager - young, vibrant, likes to get involved in the coaching and can totally change how this team plays and can set up.

they will need to be able to tap into a great scouting system - one in which celtic totally wiped out and it is now costly.
tell agents to * off trying to tout has been players

a coach / manager who can put the smile back on player's faces with his belief that he will make them better and show them how the team will get better - that way the players will bust their balls and run through a brick wall for him

slavia manager for me /or the city reserve manager.

Brendan came from Chelsea u16s and worked his way up im sure his first job at Swansea he was slated.

but my * has anyone enjoyed 3 games we played this season - anyone who can make us play some good football again and the results will take care of themselves. play with speed, directness, smart football and can adopt to certain situations in games - plus likes to put men on the post from corners and can do a few crossing and finishing session - thanks very much :)

So you'd knock back Mourinho, a guy who's won just about everything to hire a Man City reserve manager who's done absolutely nothing in his managerial career?

I don't believe Mourinho would ever be interested anyway.

you would expect someone in soon asap - make plans and send people to the euros or monitor closely to see if we can tap into any future players thinking Czech , Austria, Denmark, Ukraine and Poland - good int teams on the up with decent young players emerging.

this is what the new CEO should surely be saying to the board - otherwise we will scramble before European games trying to integrate players into the team at the 11th hour and expecting them to do well.

    * me it isn't rocket science.

I think the £ involved to get Mourinho would be impossible for celtic
I don't like the way Mourinho sets up his teams - he doesn't bring through the youth
I don't like the manner when it isn't going his way and hr throws his toys out of the pram

I want a good coach - who these days is in essence a 'modern manager' - he would have a wealth of players to tap into and understands how a modern club is run in terms of scouts, player pathway to development, managing youth players, a type of football that is good on the eye, a style of football and I would bet that current players would be excited to see his energy, plus he wouldn't cost as much as the 'special one'

all managers started off somewhere so why can this guy not make a name at celtic ?
why sign a guy called lubo who is in his 30s
why sign Henrik for less than a million etc
what did Rodgers do before he was given a shot at Watford

it isn't reserve manager, he is their u23 manager not trying to be a smart * - reserve manager has been kicked out of the day and it makes players feel inferior to the first team.

I would imagine in inner circles - some of which I know that it we got him it would be quite the coup

I don't think we'd even get Mourinho, but if it was even a slight possibility then we should at least ask the question. Just because he never done anything with that Spurs team doesn't all of a sudden make him a failure.

Doesn't play youths? McTominay given his debut by him, Morata was given his debut, and Tanganga got his premier league debut. I dare say there's a * load more I haven't even thought about.

Not saying he can't make it at Celtic, but it's not exactly an easy job to walk into as a rookie. Fair enough Lennon done it, but he knew the expectations.

Bit young to remember Lubo coming but I think it's fair to say Venglos would have known all about him.

Using players as an example doesn't really work, it's not the same job and a lot less pressure on a "rookie" player than manager.

That's not to say the guy wouldn't be a success here and go on to be a brilliant manager. But at this stage I don't think it's a good idea for us to hire another rookie. But if it does end up being him then I'll back him completely.

Also the league is called Premier League 2, so it's a reserve league no matter how it's spun to be "U23s"

Managed to get them to a final and could have potentially won them their first trophy in over a decade, had he been kept on until Sunday.

I know, I wasn't meaning he failed at Spurs. But league and Europe wise he's not exactly done the best of jobs has he?

Exactly. I might not know who our next boss is but I do know it's not Mourinho. We'd be ripping the pish out of huns if they were claiming he was going to them.

I can't believe anyone is seriously discussing this - he was reputed to be on at least 12m a year at Spurs - he always brings 3 or 4 trusted staff with him. Spurs are reportedly considering going back to a Sporting Director model and Jose wanted his Portuguese mate from Lille.

We are supposedly offering Howe approx 2 - 2.5m per year and haggling over the issue of bringing his "technical director" from Bournemouth.

There is a good chance that Juventus and/or Porto will be looking for a manager - Jose would really pick us over them .

If we end up with a manager whose first name begins with a J - it'll be Jack.
