I think Rodgers would talk Celtic up as a club and support but he'd be fairly uncomplimentery about the structure.

That worries me. Though Lawwell leaving and a potential DOF might render that criticism meaningless now... I hope :lenny2:

Everything about him just gives a positive vibe , the way he coaches , the way he sets his training, the work behind the scenes assessing opposition , his interviews , the way players speak about him is all positive ! Has been my preferred choice since november ! Difference with him and rodgers will be that rodgers came in to a large squad with very little change needed , howe almost has a blank canvas!
I also think howe would have us better in europe as i dnt think he will be as gung ho as rodgers!

intrestingly howe is probably more succesful than rodgers was by the time we got him!

    This.

Only need to watch videos of him training on YouTube etc to get excited. I was unsure at first but he's my no1 choice.

There's a Bournemouth documentary on YouTube about how he took over.

This is a guy who took them from near admin to an established EPL side for 4 seasons playing good football and consistently improving players who many would have previously described as average. How can people not fancy him as coach. They are now a club who will probably immediately bounce back up.

The similarities with Rodgers are there. What he done with Bournemouth eclipses Rodgers time at Swansea. OK he's not had a Liverpool type job yet but that could be us.

Hes only 43 - nearly 600 games managed. Wed be hard pressed to get someone more experienced, which sounds crazy at his age.

This is a major upgrade on Lennon ffs

This would be a great coup for us if we could pull it off.

    Rodgers almost won the EPL.

I'd say he was the best qualified manager we ever got. But Howe would certainly be an excellent choice.

In this one he comes across as not wanting to jump into anything too quickly so the due diligence etc all makes sense. And would explain the time he's taken out.

This whole situation is similar to the build up before we hired Rodgers. Sky gigs, time out of football, odds dropping then coming back into the fold...* even Roy Keane being touted as favourite.

    Also worth a watch.

    and this.

Wouldnt be against him bringing adam smith , steve cook and begovic , contracts all up in the summer , cook and smith both 29 and begovic is 33 so all good for 3 year contracts , 3 frees that would allow us to put money into other positions

The only worry as already mentioned in this thread is him holding out for an EPL job..

I think it's fairly obvious that's what he's been doing the last few month's and he's will within his rights..

We are a really good job for Howe though..

It is a concern but I think when you listen to him speaking in that first video, he is a guy who wants a club with the right vision and where he feels wanted etc. Which I think we could give him - this would be a bigger challenge than anything in the EPL could offer him. He seems very content to wait for the right opportunity and will be well aware of what coming here has done for Rodgers.

He could come here, win the league etc and then immediately go to a Everton or spurs etc down the line whereas right now the teams being spoken about are still lower half of the table types.

    And crucially he's only 43.
