Potential Manager Suggestions?

Think with Harking being "90% confirmed" it will be more than likely that Maresca will follow.

I hope the part about a full team of analysts etc is also true.

 

Im very worried that the type of manager that Dermot Desmond wants is exactly not what we need to be a forward thinking progressive club. We will have Dominic McKay as the new CEO and possibly Fergal Harkin installed as the D.O.F. in the near future. Both these guys may well have the correct idea about where the club should be going and who should be appointed as the new Celtic manager but I have a horrible feeling the Dermot Desmond will still very much be calling the shots on the big decisions such as the appointment of the next Celtic manager.

Names such as Ralf Rangnick and Jesse Marsch are exactly the sort of mangers we should be looking at, they are forward thinking, modern, progressive managers who are highly skilled tactically. However Desmond has already tried to appoint Roy Keane in the past and reports suggest we are interested in him again. I believe the interest is coming from Dermot Desmond, I just hope Dominic McKay has big enough balls to stress that this kind of backward appointment is not acceptable. For right or wrong the likes of Roy Keane's and Neil Lennon's style of management is no longer effective in football today. If Dominic McKay and whoever is appointed as D.O.F. are 'yes men' then we are in big trouble. Desmond may have a brilliant business brain but when it comes to making football decisions he needs to allow the people who know about football to make those decisions. With next seasons Title winner going straight into the Champions League group stages and bagging 30+ million the importance of getting our new manager right is massive as it could effect not just where the title ends up next season but for a good few seasons to come.

They have been throwing money away for the last 2/3 seasons with downgrading employing Lennon and not Backing Rodgers and chucking away Potential champions league money.

You’d just assume today was Lennon without looking at the dug out, same lineup, same fannying about not making subs and then same stupid subs too late. Sooner we can write this season off the better

Man city u23 got last game on 7th may, of it's harkin and maresca, don't expect anything til then.

Although it's the man city u23 for * sake, just announce it now and he joins us at end of season


At least put us out our misery and get some positive attitude around the club for once.

Wouldn't be like us to leave it too late for whoever comes in to actually be prepared for next season before the season actually starts. New manager needs to be in asap to get this mess of a squad in order.
