Defend set pieces. I don't think they understand what that means at Lennoxtown - :71:

Wish Sutton would stop giving his opinion on who the next manager is. He's saying Alex Neil now

I am coming around to the idea of appointing Maresca. I would take a punt on him if we cannot attract an established manager in that mould.

I would prefer Tognozzi to Harkin. I know that Maresca and Harkin are at Manchester City together, but his connection to Desmond is a turn-off.

If we don't get someone in soon then I think I will be out my box!

I’d rather we got someone younger with a more progressive approach to the game.

Out of the realistic names mentioned, Howe would be up there. Potter if Brighton go down would be my number 1 pick, albeit he’d probably cost a decent amount.

We should be looking at the continent though. The Slavia Prague manager, Young Boys manager, Union Berlin manager etc.

And if we get Keane, Clarke or Kennedy I’d rather be in a box.

Yeah that’s fair.. I just really don’t think he would cut it here. Too touchy/sensitive.

He would have worked wonders for Commons a few years ago with pizza motivation

I'd take him today given the rest of the options linked

Personally I would much rather Howe.

Pascal Jansen (AZ) and Kjetil Knutsen (Bodø/Glimt) have done well at their respective clubs, and should be attainable.

Phillipe Clement (Club Brugge) is probably in the same bracket as Seoane and Trpišovský.

Diego Martínez (Granada) has punched above his weight at a small club in a big league, as Fischer has at Union Berlin.

Favre, Hütter, or Marsch would be ideal.

Out of all those you've listed the only one I'd really be content with is Urs Fischer but he's also the least likely after he signed that extension and is pretty sought after.

With the rebuild we have on our hands this summer I'd be very reluctant to give it to a guy with little experience in the transfer market.

I know the DoF appointment could potentially mitigate that but that even presents a challenge with the timescale we're working to.

For a manager to come in > assess the squad >.tell the DoF what they're looking for > engage in scouting prospective targets and agree on signings > integrate them into the side for the European qualifiers is a mammoth task.

Not saying those guys listed aren't good managers or won't go on to good things but most have had their moderate successes against a backdrop of minimal pressure or immediacy for results. The guy we bring in won't get that time.

Is the idea of Dyche so off putting? The more I think of it the more I feel I could warm to it.
