Does anyone else think Marc Crosas is worth a punt next season? I think if we could just get a formation that would allow him a bit more of a creative role we could have a good wee playmaker on our hands.

Also, I've just read the article on the Celtic website about how he's backing Spain for the WC but he says that he considers himself Catalonian (btw 'Catalan' is only used to describe the language, everything else is described as 'Catalonian') rather than Spanish and if FIFA would allow Catalonia to compete in international matches he would play for them instead.

That got me thinking about players who would opt to play for them instead of Spain and I remember reading about Puyol and Xavi being fiercely Catalonian. So if they were given the go ahead the Catalonian national side might be a half decent force, especially for the size of the "Country".

 

Please stop putting Fortune in the team the lad is an absolute joke, cant score, cant pass, doesnt have a touch, yeah he scores the very occasional screamer but so did henri camara and i certainly wouldnt be playing him........ and his celebration is balls, writing a cheque? what!!!!!

 

also what is this fascination with scott brown? i think if we are honest rangers got the supremely better player in Kevin thomson and we got the dud. for a "hard tackling" midfielder i dont think ive ever seen scott brown put in a prpoer hard tackle to let someone know theyr are in game (kevin thomson on Keane in teh old firm? keane never kicked a ball the rest of the game).

 

Yeah i feel he'd be definatley worth a punt,as he is great passer of the ball, and the Majority of the players we have been linked with are very Physical. I really hope is he givern the chance to proove himself.

And on the Catalonian side it would be very interesting, and (generalisation so don't shoot) the Majority of Barcelona players would be interested if im not wrong isn't there a Catalans side but they don't play in like Fifa matches, its more like a youth squad, as aren't Bojan and Pedro part of it ?

 

Yea I checked out the Wiki page on the national team and Crosas, Xavi, Valdes, Puyol, Pique and Bojan have all played for the team. They must get a bit of stick from the Spanish boys (especially the ones loyal to Real i.e. Sergio Ramos) as they're obviously playing for Catalonia to exercise they're strong political and patriotic issues. Good on them I say, we all know what it's like to be on the harsh end of Fascism.
