Sounds about right, the amount of times I’ve said to people “you’ll have heard of CCR” and they always say no. You play the tune and they are all “ohh yeaaahhh I know that one”

I’ve read that certain species of birds can see more colours than us.

ldnt surprise me. Maybe something to do with camouflage and predators.
Oh and our tastebuds can recognise 100,000 different tastes. Not as impressive as I would have imagined more. Maybe that’s the times every new meat or fish you taste is like chicken.

It’s to do with the cone cells we have in our eyes, a lot of animals have more than what humans have. Would love to be able to see what they see, even once.

Aye I read somewhere that reindeer eyesight have adapted to artic conditions, they see in the Ultra Violet wavelengths. In contrast with the snow many things absorb UV light and therefore appear black, this includes urine which is a sign of predators or competitors; lichens, a major food source in winter; and fur, making predators such as wolves very easy to see despite being camouflaged to other animals that can’t see UV.

I’d need to double check, but I’m sure they can see various shades of blue.
