Haha good stuff man. It's actually in Dundee on the way to the train station. I'm usually driving except most Fridays when I use the train so I can nip in for a couple then :50:

If true (no reason not to assume so), then * me side ways that just opens up even more questions.

2 main ones for me, if we were to leave the galaxy and enter the dark matter area, that is constantly expanding at a rate that we will never be able to out run, and thus never reach the next galaxy, how far can we travel outside of our galaxy before its too far to turn back?
Also combined with the ever annoying "if the universe is everything then what is it expanding in to" question, surely some of the galaxies would expand/stretch in to our own. As in the example given about andorama (or what ever) merging to the milky way, surely another one in 20billion years could do the same?

Secondly, on the notion that the big bang happened so quickly, matter stretched so quickly etc etc and created these so called "pockets" that we are unable to leave, the video says that in time the future beings will not be able to see out in to space and see what we see. Just darkness. They won't be able to see and understand what we do today, such as the big bang.
With so many people asking questions about the big bang, the * particle, and with the idea that over a course of enough time beings aren't able to look back fsr enough, who is to say we havent already experienced - no experiencing - that moment? What if we are in the midst of not having the ability to see what came before the big bang (and all before that as I do know they have figured out what's before it).

Far too many questions, my head hurts.

    You are missing out man.
Fridays have just become the best day of the week for you. Hopefully it isn't a bad pint though. Only found one place up here that does it, bit of a trek for me to get it often, but seems a lot of folk do use it. Thus making it without doubt the best pint on this * forsaken rock.

May give it a look when I'm back, so!

I think it's down to the tap being unused, like you said. I forget that I had a nice one in Barcelona over summer :50:

Really interesting questions! I have (obviously) absolutely no idea as to how to begin forming an answer for them but you're right, maybe we have already reached the 'point of no return' in a way. Things like these videos always make me ask more questions than it provides answers for :giggle1:

The other videos they do are really good too, you should check out the Big bang one and the black holes one!

Shall do, love these sort of things and any docs on space in general.

Though I do always love the Stephen hawking one where he tried to prove the big bang came from - and thus not * - and eventually had to say "juat trust me something else was before it". Which I remembered quite quickly in relation to this video. What if we wont ever be able to prove anything? We trust a man in hawkings or a man in Jesus? Neither can or will be able to Definetely say either way.

I think gravity is drawing the Milky Way & andromeda together, not expansion. & as for being able to turn back to earth if we leave it, I think that journey is a one way ticket. A generational craft where the ones who reach the destination are the great great great great offspring of those who left.

I just reckon we've been put in isolation cos were * mental :31:

Even that part I've highlighted, there are so many questions, is it ethical? How do we know they will want to learn and do the things that we told the original astronauts to do? What about the 2nd generation, they will be in the spacecraft having never set a foot on earth and will never set foot on another planet, it seems a pretty miserable existence in all honesty

there is a fish that can exit the water, breathe oxygen and can even walk on land.
jesus could only walk on water but not breathe it, 1-0 to the fish.
probably explains why jesus turned all the fish into bread.
