Got a tattoo yesterday at Otzi tattoo and whilst I am extremely happy with it, it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

They asked me to come in early, only to make me wait half an hour so they could sort my stencil out. Then they took 45 minutes to get my stencil to sit correctly. Then he left half way through (on my time) to consult with another client. He then took a 10 minute breather near the end, All in there was a good half an hour when I wasn't being tattoed and yet I was paying for the time. Thats if you are not counting the time it took for him to get the stencil on.

Bearing in mind they charge £100 an hour. Girlfriend was livid, had to drag her out she was going mental at them. Was a weird vibe aswell - they don't let anyone else in with you. Won't be going back.

    WIll post a pic later.

That doesn't sound great mate. When I got mine done, the guy told me the total price prior to getting it done.

Tatoo. They guy who tattoed me (Musso tatuaje) is one of the best black and white realism tattooist in Britain. However I felt as if he knew he was good and because my tattoo was really small, he was a bit 'meh'. I heard a few of his appointments cancelled - maybe explains why he milked me. Had to pay £40 as it was considered 'custom' design? Then an £300 for the tattoo. As I said, girlfriend was raging but I didn't want to make a scene - they are rip offs though and their service is appalling. Think il go elsewhere in glasgow next time - electric artz or fleur de lis.

Still happy with what I have though, just disappointed it wasn't the experience I expected.

That's a cool tattoo man, very illuminati!

    You did get ripped though.

It cost me only a little more than that to get my Stag done in the same black and grey style with a similar amount of detail by a guy that is also considered one of the best in Britain.... only difference was that mine is 10 times the size!

If you like that style then check out Sile Sanda at Rock n Roll at trongate you wont regret it. (see my tatoo at top of this page I think)

Aye, I really wanted one by Sile Sanda - but his waiting list is mental - like 9 months or something, I just didn't want to wait.

I'm trying not to get angry about it but I'm not the sort of person who could have been confrontational. The guy who owns the shop and took the money was a * aswell. Their service is appaling and yet they consider themselves the best studio in Glasgow.

    Do not go here. :smiley-laughing002:

I saw yours aswell mate and its beautiful, genuinely a great individual piece. Exactly what you'd expect from Sile.

That's mental. A lot of them are bumping *. Get back and complain to the *.

My mate got charged about £1100 for a basic maori tattoo on his arm. Not even a sleeve. Most i payed was about £400 for my half sleeve. Actually don't think i've spent a grand on all mine's combined :smiley-laughing002:

Right any help would be good. I tried my hardest and followed all the guidelines for my tattoo aftercare but some of it has scabbed up a little bit! I'm gutted. There's only two areas that have mind you (pupil and above the eye), where he had to go over multiple times for dark heavy shading. I'm worried I'm going to end up needing a touch up. My mate told me to switch to e45 cream now for the scabs just to keep them moist enough as bepanthan is too thick now but scabbing is ok so long as I don't pick (I haven't). Is he right? Anybody got any tips on how to care for it, will it still turn out ok? It's only my second tattoo btw - my first was wee and never scabbed.

It'll be fine mate. Don't sweat it. They almost always scab a little.

So aye went for my first laser treatment this morning and aye by * does it hurt.

Not the actual treatment although it does feel like getting stabbed with a hypodermic needle multiple times, after it though your arm feels on fire and as though you have got extreme sunburn and someone has poured vinegar over it. :smiley-laughing002:

Yeah he's a really nice guy though once you start getting tattoo'd off him, he'll come in on his days off and call you up if there's any cancellations. I've not been on the waiting list since I got my first tat off him they just call me up and I go in.

Cheers Man! I really like yours as well despite the experience you had, in 10 years time you wont remember the guy being an * or the money you spent but you'll still have a great tattoo.

Nonono, I've spend over 1.5k on this piece so far. The original stag on it's own, without the back ground, owl or the new ram, was £440.
