Thing is we have been the best footballing team in the OF games under Mogga, WGS, MON, Barnes, Wim, Burns, basically for the last 15 years or more. That has no bearing on winning though. Some managers know how to win/not lose OF games while others seem to fall into the trap of losing on the sucker punch. Mogga seems to be one of those guys. I think the clever managers go into O games realising that a 0-0 is the most likely result and one goal will probably win most games. So most of all you have to play to not lose a goal and try and be score without taking risk. That forumula usually works. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Joebhoy - Build a bridge and get over it. If you think we deserved to win that game today you need your head examined. Do you think Keane had a good game ? Do you think Samaras instead of big Ras was a good decision ? Would you have been screaming about referee bias if we had a goal chalked off like Rangers did ? Did all our players give 100% and go balls out to win the game. Im a realist mate, and fair minded, not blinded. I accept loss is part of taking part in a competition and dont look to blame others when we're not good enough. Do you really think we done enough to win the game. How many shots at goal did we have, how many corners did we win compared to them. Do you think Tm has done good job at celtic this season, are you happy with the no of games we have totally dominated this season yet failed to win the game ?

The point is, no matter what agenda the SFA have against us we were pish poor today and Keane & McGeady were non exsistant, would have been aswell playing to other people and bringing on Rasmussen would have been pointless because we could never get the ball to their box, completely outplayed by a dire team.

Poor show from Celtic today, we need someone who will grab this team by the ear and tell them to get their act together.

Joebhoy - Another point to consider. This was a must win game for us, do you think our team played like it was, i dont think they did. TM had to put out an attacking team throughout the whole game as a draw or loss is of no good to us. Do you think Tm done his job well today ? I dont but that doesnt make me a hun, it makes me a * of celtic supporter, just like everyone else on here just now.

Yet again our luck was *! I thought the league was done after the Falkirk game at home 1-1 that's when I lost faith. A win today would've gave me hope, but it wasn't to be.
Mogga is not a bad manager, just needs a bit of time to guide this new squad to some good times, and the fans need to back him instead of making quick judgements & jumping ship like spoilt wee losers.

I was talking to a few Huns today & we spoke about walter & ali's first season in charge & the reaction of some of the Hun supporters after the honeymoon period, they got pelters, saying walter had his time up here & he was too old to handle the pressure of a Glasgow club. Obviously a lot of *, and just a over-reaction to a few bad results.

We all knew that if we lost today it was over, don't use it as an excuse to further rubbish mogga & the players. Take it with pride and remember apples will grow again!

the changes to our club this season has fell doon the * tip ! its been a * season and losing the league to the manky ape tribe is a shocker tbh.this aint good enough.

i could handle losing the league if we got a fair crack of the whip and had a team wanting to win the *. but not the case. time to regroup and look to next season. or even try to stop the treble( aye and i dougt we will do that too:rolleyes:

tactics and basic motivation not there, add shocking referee decisions to the equation. the story of Celtics season am not really surprised anymore just getting more and more depressed at the direction Celtic are being taken and the disgusting standard of refering in Scotland.

We are not good enough with an equal playing field with Mowbray at the helm. But hes the manager and some on the forum will accuse you of not being a true 'supporter' if ye dont get behind him

I think one lesson that both Wattie and WGS demonstrated is how important the manager is. The quality of players is only half the battle. The way you blend them and set up a team is far more important. In fact the team with the most talented groups of players have often lost the title because the manager didnt use them properly. The thing that puts the lid on it for me is that even the attack of Keane, Fortune, Camera and McGeady (largely Moggas own side) looked like they could play all day and not score. The blend is just all wrong, not just the defence.

Opening up and trying to force the result in OF games just doesnt work against a side set up in the Wattie way. I actually think the best way to play OF games is to have a safe passing game and keep the ball as much as possible (even if its all side passes etc) and just wait for the 2 or 3 slips you usually get and hope you have a player with the cleverness to spot the chance. You have to accept these chances may just not come and it may have to be a 0-0. All the cleverer managers and those with a bit of wisdom realise this. I am sure the average OF result is somewhere between a 0-0 and a 1-0. I think a * of a lot of the older Celtic fans will agree that that has been the pattern for a long long time.

The team just Isn't good enough. All the excuses in the world won't change that.

The sending off was perhaps a bit harsh but it didn't really change how the game was going.

Second half - No shots, no corners (whole game), no threat, no creativity.

Until everyone attached to the club accept that we are second best at present then we can not change it.

Remember hindsight is a wonderful thing! Mcgeady wasn't very effective today, keane has some neat link up play but apart from that & his volly, nothing special.

Had one of them put the tic up 0-1……… * HEROS! So let's not kid ourselves we knew the script.

The thing is they didny put us one up. how many chances did we create one half chance fay Keane and fortune dragged his shot wide. How many times did the Holy Goalie save us? says it all, were not good enough even way the wealth of talent at Mowbrays disposal, he canny organise a unit, the huns have little class and flair (exception of davis, who was quiet the day) all they are is a gang like we used to be way lennon, sutton, balde mjalby, we had two young guys at CB and a captian who shudny be anywere near the armband

Maybe heros to the more shallow posters. Even if we had won today we still were absolutely *. Hoofing the ball down the park hoping someone would run onto it. It was like watching an EPL team playing a non league side in the FA cup.

I knew they wouldn't do well. I predicted we wouldn't win with McGeady in the lineup, and we didn't. I, a person who never managed a club, except in FM, saw this, but Mowbray didn't.:31:

    Rasmussen Snubbed again why ?

We NEED to win the game - cue mowbray he brings on Ki whits ez name a midfielder and is "lost" and loses Bougherra for the cross. Rasmussen has PROVED he can get goals and we leave him on the bench. Mowbray`s tactics baffle me. "Take it on the chin" sorry thats been played to death that excuse.

and if we had 11 men for the last 30 minutes, we may have had the ability to give them some service to put into the net. the team didn't show us much in the second half but lets not discount the fact that we were playing 2 men down counting broony sent off plus the referee. the sending off took a man away from us and altered the strategy that would be played by our admitttedly dodgy gaffer. to see the sending off had nothing to do with the result is utter pish.

I'd really have to say we didn't deserve to lose, but we didn't deserve to win either.

Rangers are really horrible cheating hacking * & I hate them.

The ref was a joke, Brown was never a straight red & Bougherra must've fouled at least 10 times after his yeallow in the 1st 10 minutes.

I'd like to see a new manager in before the end of the season to assess the squad before next season.

Mowbray isn't really up to the job I'm afraid...but who is there, thats better?

ffs we were by far the better side in the first half and in the second we were playing with 10 men against the huns, the ref and bougherra who gets out of bookings with a wink and a smile. tall order from minute 65 on
