Benfica: League title & League cup secured, Portuguese cup & Europa League to go. Quadruple could be done.

Saturday we'll be playing in Dragão... but nobody cares.

A mix of reserves and B team players is expected, with the Europa League final already in mind.

Luz, I've heard Ricardo Quaresma is being touted for a return to the national side for the World Cup? How likely is that do you reckon?

As an outsider it sounds like it has great potential to be an interesting story. Player with unbelievable skill but no work rate watches his career go down the * because he's too arrogant and self centred, before * the nut down and making an impact on the big stage aged 30. Would be a good watch if it happened.

Quaresma is part of the first portuguese list for the WC. Let's see if he makes it after the final cut. He had some good performances this year, clearly Porto best offensive player. Not that hard considering how bad Porto did this season, but still a relevant fact. However, when things don't work out he snaps easily. Seen red cards, chased opposite players...

Talent wise, he's national team quality. Considering his impact on the group morale... not sure. I believe someone like Scolari wouldn't call him at this point, but maybe Paulo Bento will. Our wingers aren't that great, Nani is out of form, and we may need him.

Yes. Portuguese League and League Cup conquered, two finals to be played (Europa League and Portuguese Cup).

Rio Ave once more. They have some good players, it's basically a Jorge Mendes FC. Cristiano Ronaldo agent buys some players and then puts them there. He has a very big influence in portuguese football.

Not sure who I want to win tomorrow Sevilla or Benfica, like both teams but I think Benfica will win, i'll say 3-1 to Benfica.

Portuguese Cup: Benfica 1-0 Rio Ave

The last 30' were hard after that extra-time in the Europa League final but Jan Oblak managed another clean sheet. The slovenian was the MVP.

First portuguese club to win all the domestic competitions since the creation of the league cup and our first "dobradinha" (league + cup) since 1986/87. This was our longest season ever as well, 57 games.

Congratulations, Luz, could you post any highlights? I watched the game a bit yesterday but then had to leave home and didn't see the whole thing.

Also, I was grinning like a madman when I realised that Rio Ave's coach is Espirito Santo, in English The Holy Spirit. It was Jesus against the Holy spirit yesterday and Jesus won. :56:

Btw, Quaresma out of the WC. Official.

    Oblak: 1:01 + 1:22

Our goal came from a right foot strike by Gaitan. Rarely seen him use his right foot.

And yea, we have plenty of unusual names:smiley-laughing002: Nuno is a promising manager, Vitor Baia sub during many years. Porto player while Mourinho was there.

Sporting Lisbon boss Leonardo Jardim has tonight quit the club, ahead of his move to Monaco.
