Ye got enough goals for us when he was with us.
I just got the impression he,d rather be somewhere else and i read somewhere after he left us that he never gave 100% for us as there wasn,t the need.
And that kinda summed him up for me.

thTE="\o/, the ost: 5552316, member: 9102"]Something else? 2nd most succesful captain in our history, just behind Billy himself. Just captained us through a season where we've not just won the Treble, we were completely undefeated domestically.

I doubt any other captain will ever be able to claim the same again.[/QUOTE]

    Exactly mate.

The way I see it is, if Broony isn't a Celtic legend, then there's a good chance that we won't have any more legends of the club from now on.

Because it'll be hard for any player in the future to give more, or even the same to the club as Broony has, whether it be the amount of years he's played for us, how much he's won as captain (only 2nd to big Billy), the undefeated treble.

Fair enough, there's more flashy and skilful players at the club than Broony, but when we're going into a crunch game where we need a leader, someone to inspire and motivate the players to stand up and be counted, he's the first name I'm looking for on the team sheet.

The guy lives and breathes the club, has done for years, and will continue to.

And then there's the small matter of him being a damm good player who knows exactly what's expected of him in the role he plays, and his contribution to the team, which unfortunately is probably more noticeable when he's not playing, something we'll all notice even more when we're trying to replace him when he eventually hangs his boots up.

But most importantly, I'm most grateful for the fact that we signed him mate :shamrock:

Viduka was an absolute beast of a striker. If he had the attitude of Larsson, he could have been as good imo. But he was a *, even before he arrived.

Really? He scored like 30 goals in 36 games, the guy had everything.

Except a good * head on his shoulders.

A * but an absolutely brilliant player. If i remember right he was in the Zagreb side with Prosinecki?that destroyed us out there. Was brilliant for Leeds down here as well..

Touch. Strength. Finishing. Another top drawer player we just about managed to play for us..

    * him though. *..

Ye ,i guess its the same with any decent players we come across.
We know they may move on but no need to insult us by broadcasting it.

I won't hear a bad word about Viduka. A great guy and of the one best Celtic strikers I ever saw. The problem wasn't with Viduka. The problem was that * John Barnes.
