Anybody know how to get your iPod to play through you car stereo ? I drive a Toyota Yaris. Heard about aux cables and FM transmitters but my car doesn't have an aux input and I get the feeling FM transmitters would make for * quality unless somebody can tell me otherwise ? I thought it was jsut a simple case of a wire from the * lighter into your iPod but apparently not. Any ideas folks ? Checked Currys and PC World for these sort of cables and they're looking for £40 - £60 for some. * that.

a got a decent fm trasnmitter from amazon for 6 quid. jus search ipod fm transmitter etc and pick one with plenty good rating and ull be fine. easy to use as well!

I had an FM transmitter and it was *, that was a few years ago mind you.
Now I've got a casette with a headphone jack coming out of it which is perfect.
Best bet is to have an AUX cable put in, dont think its expensive. -
cant you just play it through your bluetooth, thats what I do

I bought a parrot mki9200, does ipods, usb, sd cards, bluetooth etc. Easy as pie to set up, plug in the back wire mic wire through, you've got handsfree and music! (music only goes 75% volume as the parrot uses its own amp)

i have 2 off them one that your ipod will sit in a cradle that sits in the cig liter,the quality is super.
i have another which is smaller and has batteries and just connects to your ipod but not as good.
they sell on amazon cheaper than the big retail stores -
I usually Have the tape cassette plug in thingy for my mp3 player. Most stores should have them.

The fm transmitters are *, I've had 2 and sent them back. My mates just bought a new radio system for his car, £60 and it has a headphone jack to plug his iPhone into, that works really well.
I had a cassette player in my first car and you can get a cassette that plugs into you phone, that's the only one that's worked for me.
