None of those guys were good enough for Celtic. All of their careers have been mediocre at best.

Think most of the players named on this thread have went on to have mediocre careers with the exception of 1 or 2. It can be frustrating when players are ranted and raved about in the when playing in the reserves but you never get to see what all the fuss is about. The 4 I named are merely examples

To be fair to Simon Lynch, didn't he get 3 appearances for us and score in 2 of them?

I think that's correct yes. I remember thinking at the time that he was a player with potential but to be honest he didn't have a great career after he left Celtic. That suggests to me that Celtic did the right thing in selling him.

Tommy Johnson never really got a chance. He scored 18 goals in 38 apps

seen him play at hibs last day of the season and thought he took the * at times, remember him hitting a cracking shot off the bar and whipping baws in to the box and thought boy could be a starter next year. Bit * off we let him go tbh:31:

I liked big Sheridan, by no means the finished article but he could've been a useful player for us.

He played 12-15 games in a row for us when big JVoH was injured and scored more goals than him.

Was a bit raw but there was a player in there.

Some of the players mentioned such as Flood, Killen, Virgo, David Fernandez were never ever going to be regular starters for us based on the fact than they just aren't good enough. When we bought Flood, we knew he would be a squad player to add depth and that's exactly what he was while he was here. Killen spent more time falling on his * and giving away fouls than actually playing football.

Donati got his chance and was mostly disappointing. Had the problem of wanting more time on the ball than he was often given. Not denying he has talent though.

Riordan is a big climax in recent years, very decent finisher and has a bit of flair but has a terrible attitude.

Gravesen was someone who should have started more. Had more than enough ability to play for us. Strachan states in his book that he couldn't fit him into a system but I don't believe a word of it. I think he's just making excuses. Gravesen would have played any system and would have been as versatile as possible.

Crosas and Juarez are obvious examples this season. Can't vouch for Juarez as I haven't seen him play much but Crosas is definitely good enough to play for us.

Kenny Miller got his chance for a full season at Celtic and returned 4 SPL goals. He did have his uses and I would have been happy (at the time) for him to stay but Scott McDonald replaced him with more goals even if we lost Miller's running ability.

    Henrik Larsson.

Im sure Martin O'Neill left him on the bench for 1 game. He could of added at least 4 more goals to his tally.

Gravesen was a fool to himself, he just could not hold any postion he had to try and do it all by himself. I remember WGS screaming at him for the first half of a european game non-stop, then hooking him. I know the Real and Everton fans loved him because of that, but we couldn't afford a player like that in our team
