Not one of our players but Richard Foster :56: remember the huns had him on loan from Aberdeen a couple of years ago. Just remembered him there after hearing the name Forster in the Hibs game. How the * did that happen. Would be like us taking Jim Goodwin on loan from St Mirren.

I remember Bobby Petta but never realised he was with us right up until 2005, only found that out a couple of months ago. It's always strange seeing videos of Bobo Balde making rare appearances under Strachan, when I think of Balde I think of 2003/04/05 it's hard to believe he was with us for so long. Also another strange one was Valgaeren being released by Strachan when he was still 29, weird how 2 from a back three that got to a European final still with years ahead of them were dismissed by Strachan pretty much.

I always assumed that was to do with Strachan haven't to slash wage costs. Bobo just dug his heels in and refused to go.

I blame MON for that. But when Balde made it clear he wasn't going to go, Strachan should have stopped being stubborn and played him. He was still the best centre half at the club at the time.

To this day I say not playing Bobo cost us 4 in a row.

I lost count of the amount of goals we lost with floaty balls into the heart of the defence that season, Zander Diamond ripping us a new one and everything.

Sure it was that season Craig Levein said he had a gameplan to beat us, then had to throw it out the window when he seen Bobo was on the teamsheet.

I think that is a very fair point regarding 4 in a row. The amount of times we all watched Caldwell and McManus (the Chuckle Brothers) being bullied was ridiculous. Daniel Cousin in the 4-2 at Parkhead game spring straight to mind. That was one thing I hated about Strachan, his stubborness.

I was beyond raging he kept letting that happen.

Was no coincidence that we could never keep a clean sheet until Bobo was forced to play. Not the cleverest footballer but not a defender you can bully or easily run past, one of my favourite ever players.

I actually just read the old newspaper article about that game at Tannadice. It went:

"Pressley was injured, Kennedy was KO'd, Caldwell was playing at right-back, and the tea lady had tonsilitis. That meant, it was Bobotime"

I loved the big man, we are still crying out for a defender of the same mould these days.

Scott Cuthbert - Remember him being good for the youths
Luca Santonocito - Signed from Inter with promising future, sold him to AC Milan
Rocco Quinn - Again remember him being good for the reserves
Ben Hutchinson - Thought it was an odd signing, never really got going
