i thought i read he'd been left out, did he get called in because of injuries?

we're in the market for damaged goods? what players in our squad would you say are damaged goods?

to say he wasn't a success at chelsea is a bit of an under statement, he was a liability and i'd like to think we can do better than that

 

Might have been due to injuries.Just read a couple of days ago that he'd been called up

Gravesen,Jarosik, Hinkel and Donati are what I would call damaged good.In the past Sutton,Bellamy and possibly Hartson.

Unsuccessfull,disaster,call it whatever you want.He didn't make the grade there.Chelsea are one of the best teams in world football.Only a select group of players are good enough for the very highest level.Boulahrouz probably insn't.However he is well good enough for the SPL and to compete in the CL,his form at Hamburg showed this.

 

gravesen was played out of position at real and thats why he left, jarosik didn't cut it at chelsea but i thought he as excellent while on loan at birmingham, hinkle was kept out of the sevilla team by the best RB in the world and donut is a wate of space but came here with a good rep and the record for italian under 21 caps.

i cant say i've seen boulharouz play since he left chelski but what i saw when he was there was poor, terrible positional sense and decision making but as you pointed out sutton didn't exactly set the world alight at chelsea. however this thread is about players to take us to the next level and IMAO bhoularouz isn't even an improvement on what we have at the minute

 

They failed at their clubs mate,no use trying to spin it around.It's the sort of market we're in.

 

i think failed is a bit harsh mate. i appreciate we're not competing for kaka and messi but i dont think we only sign damaged goods, maybe players who haven't excelled at their previous clubs

Sadly we're not in the right league to go for players like mexes i reckon if we were in the premiership we would be though.id love us to sign pavlychenko but if we were going to like someone said it would have to be before EURO 2008 cause if he has a good euro 2008 his value will skyrocket

 

There's a few players i have in mind but am not sure how realistic they are considering how much money plays a part in the game these days. The boy Arshevin who plays with Zenit, cracking player. Another player i noticed was Samir Nasri of Marseille and thought we might have a chance until Arsenal started sniffing about and figures like £11 million started getting banded about. Also Benzema of Lyon but again we've not got a hope in * of even putting in a serious bid for him.

The annoying thing is i noticed these players before they were being chased by the likes of Arsenal and Man U but obviously our scouts either missed them or knew it would be a waste of our time even looking at them with intentions of trying to capture them. Shame.

Remember though, that Kapo went to Wigan after Birmingham. Following Steve Bruce out of the club and didn't do too well there. But from what I seen of him at Brum, he can play
