    I saw him live in his breakout year at Goodison when he was (I think) 18 and he looked really good for his age but he doesn't seem to have progressed at all. For the wages he'd be looking for as an English player who's played solely in the EPL and the fact he'd be at best a rotation player I'd give it a miss.

    Johan Hove from Strømsgodset looks pretty decent. Box to box and loves a goal. He's on 6 in 13 in the league (including 1 against Bodo) and 2 assists.

    Going to keep on saying this until someone at the club sees it but if we miss out on Souza, we should be all over Jean Onana. Bordeaux now in the 3rd tier, he's still contracted to them. Could get him for a decent fee.

    He’s a talented boy Hove, he has been linked with some big team interest a couple of seasons back. He had a great 2020 season, then didn’t quite hit the heights again in 2021 but has had a strong start to 2022.

    He is also a regular in a talented Norway U21 team. There is a few others in that team centre back Jesper Daland, full back Sebastian Sebulonsen, Defensive mid Sivert Mannsverk, and Striker Jorgen Strand Larsen are all worth a look and at teams we could easily afford to bring them in from.

    On the other post above if Anel Ahmedhodzic, you will struggle to get a better CB that would fit our way of playing for €3.5m. We should be all over that.

    Jean Onana - Powerful midfielder. Potential alternative to Souza.



    Sekou Mara - French u21 forward. Still only 19.



    Alberth Elis - Another forward. Linked with him before.

    Richiedly Bazoer is still a free agent too.

    Would love to bring him in regardless. Think he's a bit wasted at CB. We could potentially get 3 positions out of him.

    John Brooks also a free agent. 45 caps for US. 29 year old. 6ft 4.

    Bazoer is apparently all but signed for Marseille sadly he is one I would have went for as a DM that could also play CB.

    I see Tifo done a Celtic sensible transfers and suggested Jacob Greaves from Hull. He’s a good shout at around 6’3 left footed, still only 21 but had 3 full seasons at league 2, then league 1 and the Championship last year. Only has a year left on his deal. Watching footage of him he seems to combine no nonsense defending with good ball carrying ability and some nice long range passing.

    He would likely cost a bit but would have a big sell on potential too.
