Maybe this is the boards plan? Keep kicking the can down the road until we accept anything as it's better than what we currently have.

    I want the board shot.

Desperate times. It would be levels above Ralston with room for improvement. We need two anyway and he can play straight away.

Hanged, electrocuted, gassed with nitrogen...any execution method will do. The chief shareholder thinks Rangers are a great club.

    100%.

Sirigu is still a free agent too. Could get another 6 years out him.

I'm not suggesting him - he's had his disastrous time at Celtic - but you should have seen Arzani at the Olympics tonight. Head and shoulders the best player on the park (despite a loss) - looks to be almost back to his best.

David marshall would walk back to celtic. Maybe isnt the long term solution but would be a vast improvement on what we have.

He came with lots of promise but we never really saw anything of him when he was hear so hard to know what that actually means. Personally, I think given the tough injury ridden time he had here I don't think it is realistic to contemplate him coming back here.

I don't care how unrealistic it is. I don't care that we will never sign him.

    I suggest Anel Ahmedhodzic

I just counted it out there.

17 players I reckon we need in addition to the 3 weve signed.

I wasn't suggesting it and I've no doubt he remembers Celtic with bitterness - ACL 20 mins into his debut.

Such a shame as he is one of those truly rare and magical players when fit. I was very worried the ACL had killed his career but that performance last night against Egypt reassures me he's still got it.

Gonna make some lucky fans somewhere very happy. I think he's in Belgium now but still owned by Man City.

Lack of movement in this transfer rumours section is sad. We're no closer to signing anyone. * gutted.

Antonio Colak one to watch for Malmo, onloan from PAOK after being prolific in Croatia. 7 in 11 for Malmo.

His loan deal ends this December. 6ft 2, 27 years old, thrives on balls into the box, signed for PAOK for £3m.

Scored against Aberdeen a year or so ago. He looks impressive, will see if he does anything against the Huns.

We don’t need nor will we sign anything even remotely close to that.

In reality we need 5 first team players in this window not accounting for those leaving. Any other signings would be to bulk the squad out and/or the B team.

I disagree. And I didn't mean in this window alone.

Across the next year or so I think that's how many we need.

Apart from Turnbull, McGregor and Forrest, I wouldn't care if most others who were here last season left.

Even if they don't leave, we need to improve on the vast majority of them.

5 first team players isn't enough. What do we then look to from the bench?

What positions do you think don't need adhered to?

Folk can agree or disagree but suggesting we need 17 players is a pie in the sky argument.

A goalkeeper, 2 full backs, a centre half and a holding midfielder changes the entire team massively. If Eddy then goes as he most likely will then a striker would be added to that.

Calmac, Turnbull, Starfelt, Kyogo, Forrest, Abada, Jullien will all be regular starters no matter who’s brought in and there’s only 10 outfield places. The maths doesn’t compute.
