Totally agree simple stuff if you do your homework, their left back is all right foot make him go in his left, you could add Solbakken their star player is all left foot playing on the right force him wide and he runs out of ideas. Same with if they go long they win little don’t give them any easy out ball from their short GK etc, you do to them what we done to a team from the South side of Glasgow.

A simple strategy could have been mark up their right back let the centre back play to their left back double up on him and force him wide they can’t get out.

We should have used their compacted approach against them like we did with them but we were miles of it the other night.

Solved all Celtic's left back problems, 24 year old current Iranian international left back Omid Noorafkhan.

Like a couple of our Japanese signings had a short spell in Europe before returning home.

Seems that he started his senior career as a central midfielder before converting to left back last few seasons, captained his country at under 23 level as well.

Appears to be under the radar a lot judging by the number of views you tube videos of him have received.

Loves getting forward, plenty of pace to get up and back, good crosser, loves a long switch pass, good shot on him, what more could you want?

 

Noticed him before and looks a good player. I know Iran was mentioned by Ange, but given we have Bitton and Abada that could be complicated. Before the last World Cup they band two of their international players just for playing against an Israeli team for their club, so not sure they would be allowed to play with them.

I was hugely impressed with him. Just seemed to have everything to his game.

 

His movement to create space for himself and others around the box is excellent and he is a clinical finisher. Would be another good centre forward option.

 

Great touch, good work rate and he's very physical aswell. Has a bit of height too. If we punt Ajeti I guess he wouldn't be a bad option to have for a 4th striker

 

A couple of players worth a look playing in Czech Republic are Edouardo Santos 24 and Ewerton 25.

Santos is a centre back who is a big guy at about 6’5, is well built and comfortable on the ball. Is also mobile and capable of covering the ground well. Is right footed where we would ideally have a left sided player. However wouldn’t cost a lot but has just left the bottom of the league side for championship contenders Viktoria Plzen on loan, it will be interesting to see how he does there.

Ewerton 25, is a very similar player in his style to Jota. He is right footed but comfortable on his left and is an effective dribbler with good vision. He has 9 goals and 6 assists in 22 this season which is his best to date. In a more offensive team he looks to have the tools to unlock defences and would likely score and create more.

 

Just watching highlights of him again and I think he has more to his all round game than Maeda. As you say his touch and strength look good, although I am a bit wary of strength in a less physical league than ours. He is decent in the air and as you say his work rate looks good too.

He would definitely fit our system but would be dependent on Ajeti going as you say. His team mate Araki obviously gets most of the attention and is another I would take given his versatility.

It will be interesting to see if we do target the J league again in the summer.

 

I’d be amazed if any Bodø player would come here after those two games.

Solbakkens deal is up at the end of the year, we should sign him up today!

 

I’d take Alan Forrest on current form.

 

I have a feeling CCV won’t be here next season. I don’t know why just get that feeling he will be off to someone down near the bottom of the premiership next season.

If he doesn’t sign I would look at Jerome Onguene from Salzburg as a replacement. He’s got good recovery pace, is used to playing a high line and very experienced in terms of winning titles and playing in Europe. He would also instantly add a threat at set plays as although he is only about 6’2 he has some leap on him and is good at attacking the ball.


The other centre back I would be in for is Riechedly Bazoer. I don’t think we could find a better centre back with the ball at his feet than Bazoer. He isn’t the tallest but is strong and quick. However my main reason for picking him is he has a great range of passing and can carry the ball out of defence. With Kyogo’s movement up top Bazoer could set him away very quickly given his range and accuracy of long passing.


Both are bosmans so competition to land them will be high but they would be two centre backs very much made for Ange’s system.

Onguene is known to us as we tried to sign him before but Salzburg wanted to keep him at the time (he will have reached his too old for them date now so they will let him go by the looks of it.) There we’re also rumours we put a contract to Bazoer in January so may be in the running for him.

On other out of contract or approaching that point, I would look at wingers such as Arnaud Nordin of Saint Ettiene,

Ola Solbakken B/G and Sebastian Jorgensen of Silkeborg .

The last two are December 22 expiries so would still cost a fee but could be signed then release fee pursued.

I would also move for Magnus Kofod Andersen and Tochi Chukwuani at Nordsjaelland on Bosmans as two very talented midfielders.
Andersen is the club captain and reminds me of a Callum McGregor. Chukwuani is a talent, a big powerful attacking centre midfielder who is only 18 and would have a potential huge upside.

If we could sign some of the names above it would free up transfer funds to get a quality left back in and if Jota would come pay the money for him, if not sign another talented player as a replacement.
