I just had a wee look at the Sarpsborg stats from today and their striker Daniel Karlsbakk scored a hat trick today. Apparently he has just turned 22 and has 13 goals in 14 appearances this season. He didn't do anything in the Eredivisie before, but at his age might be worth a punt.

We can suggest all we want and listen to rumour after rumour but, in all honesty, nobody has a clue what's happening and we will all just have to wait to the signing is standing in Celtic Park with a scarf held aloft

Portuguese winger playing for Viborg FF in Denmark.

 

He looks a no brainer for right wing. They had agreed to sell him to Saudi for €4m but he wanted to stay in Europe. I think he would be a player that is ball hungry, a good dribbler, that helps balance out the likes of Maeda that don’t really want the ball to feet too much.

 

Would love both Oliver Antman from GAE and Serginho from Viborg. You could probably get both of them and Jansson for around £14m.

Chat on kerrydale is that theres rumours of him. Looks quality in his youtube and was in the team of the year in denmark along side Nygren

 

It was a very tentative rumour that smacked of nonsense, to be honest.

Some guy saying he had a friend who worked in Denmark and had a friend at Viborg and we had been discussed. Even by KDS latest ITK standards, it was a very unlikely rumour/link.

If its true huns are after Vardy, Id rather we went for him, I know hes old but he still has it, he'd work out for a season or two.

 

Seeing we have been linked with a number of players with only one year to go on their contract here are a few others that could be interesting

Centre back - Karim Sow - Lausanne Sport - 22 year old who had a good season last year, very dominant defensively both in aerial and ground duels he is 6’6 and a big powerful guy. With his contract entering its last year he is valued at €4-5m. Could be a good understudy to CCV as he is predominantly right sided. He also seems to have reasonable distribution out from the back.

Centre Back - Arouna Sangate - Le Harve- 23 year old, who is attracting a lot of interest but has done for a few seasons and still not moved. In the last year of his deal but would likely still be €8-10m. He is an all round very solid defender and can also play right back. Is right sided which wouldn’t be ideal but if we did sign him he would be a starter so possibly could slot in on the left.

Defensive Midfielder - Eric Martel - FC Koln - a 23 year old deep lying midfielder who does the defensive side of the game well. German under 21 international too. The expectation is he will move on this summer given his contract status talk of €6-8m for him but he could be that athletic holding player we have been talking about for a while.

AM - Niko Jankovic - Rijeka - 23 year old Croatian who was a big part of their title win last year with 8 goals and 3 assists in 34 games but with a pretty complete all round game, his creativity stats are good, his defensive stats are also pretty strong for a more attacking minded centre midfielder and he can carry the ball. He would probably cost about €5m.

AM - Himed Abdelli - SCO Angers - 25 year old attacking midfielder. A more expensive option as apparently they are looking for £10m for him given EPL interest but being in his last year of his deal he may go for less. A proven Ligue 1 level player who has a good level of physicality and contributes in all aspects of the game.

Left Wing - Clement Bischoff - 19 year old promising player from Brondby. Only has a year left on his deal but has been very impressive and looks to have a big future in the game. I have said left wing but he has played left wing back at times for Brondby and also in centre midfield so he is a versatile player. Brighton were meant to sign him for €8m I think it was in January but it fell through. With a year left on his deal now he would likely cost less than this or could be one to watch out for in January.

Versatile Forward - Joel Monteiro - Young Boys of Bern - we came up against him in the champions league and his pace and physicality caused us issues. He is a big unit of a guy but also very quick and can play right across the front line. Tipped for a move this summer for about €5-6m. He is 25 years old so just coming into his peak and a full Swiss international.
