He looks crap in that YT. You can see why his loan spells at Sevilla and Luton ended, and why Arsenal want to get shot of him.

We can do much better.

 

Your opinion effectively rubber stamps the feeling that he’d be a good signing.

It is slightly harsh on the ability front but not untrue, but it's a combination of both that really adds it up.

If he would put in displays like he did against Bayern day in day out he'd be worth a good package, if he is at the level of the later season games he wouldn't be, and we would want better than that level of were bringing it in.

 

Honestly, at the right wages, I’d even take that guy as a utility player. Versatility and depth. Would make sure we got someone else in as our main backup to KT.

 

Think the wages comment is the crux of why it looks like we quickly moved on from him after opening talks.

His last contract he was apparently on £60k a week. We got him on loan, paying half of that. He’d know £60k is no longer realistic, but half that wage, that we were paying for him? Think that’s where he’d have been asking. And that’s so far away from where we would have him wage wise, £15k would be surprising.

£30k from lower end promoted EPL team, or top end Championship is something that wouldn’t be realistic for a guy with his experience and reputation down there

Oliver Antman that’s at GA Eagles in Dutch league, right winger that can also play on the left. Big and quick plus good with both feet, defo worth a punt.

If Lens are close to agreeing an £11m move for Kvistgaarden we should 100% throw our hat in the ring.

Can play anywhere across the front line, explosive pace, athletic, goal scorer. There’s more basis for paying the money for him than there was Engels. Show real intent.

 

Tomiyasu having his contract at Arsenal torn up. He is incredibly injury prone but a brilliant player when fit and can play comfortably in any defensive position.

I think he’ll head to Saudi or somewhere but who knows - I can’t see many clubs offering him a deal with his injury record but could be an absolute steal. He’ll know Tierney and some of our Japanese players well

He’s still out for another 5 months with a knee injury and apparently wanting to be in Japan for rest of the rehab. Plus he’s on £100K per week so little to no chance of getting him plus a massive risk with the injury history now.

 

Aye, suppose it’s not really something that can be done this Summer. And yeah, massively risky, but a brilliant player and not sure he’ll get any great offers.
