Kevin Denkey, a player many of us would have loved here, just signed for FC Cincinnati for around £12.5m.

 

That's a surprising move after some of the clubs he was linked with to be going to the USA. MLS record transfer though

 

Jota went to Rennes for less than £7m. He’s started 6 games, scored once and hasn’t had a single assist. 2 and half years left on his deal. You’d have to think he probably isn’t v happy.
At least worth asking his agent the question re coming back here. He probs had the option in the summer and didn’t want to come back to our league, but you’d like to think we’d at least ask again in Jan. Would have to think a small profit for Rennes buys him, if they don’t fancy him.

Someone on his thread mentioned he owes tax here. Surely a wee signing-on bonus for the amount owed, plus a bit extra, would take care of that?

It’s if he returns and works in the UK within 2 years then he’d owe tax on earnings in Saudi Arabia. Think in the summer it’s plausible not January. I would hope we ask the question at the least for him in the summer though.

 

I’d be speaking to him the now about a move in summer. A question of whether he’d like to come or not. The rest of the equation just makes so much sense.

 

He earned about £10m out there according to rumours, that would be a huge signing on fee as he'd have to pay tax on that too.

 

Surely given our success with MOR, whilst itself not a guarantee that future signings would be as successful... but surely we are looking at Kwame Poku?

 

Wataru Endo has barely played at Liverpool all season, if there was anything in the summer links we should be back in for him.
Would be incredible in Europe to support / rotate with McGregor and experienced too

 

The EPL market is massively inflated, especially when dealing with the big 6. Liverpool would ask north of 10m for Endo. Don't think he's worth it for us given we don't have access to EPL money. That said, I'd love us to revisit the japanese market. Plenty of cost-effective, high-level players, plus we already got Kyogo, Maeda and Hatate to help them settle in.

 

Not worth it if it is £10M plus I agree. Good player, but he will be 32 in February.
I would be looking for a younger, higher energy player for that kind of money.

 

I suggested him just before he got linked to Rangers. He would be a good pick up on a cross border compensation deal. Surely one that Tisdale would be aware of with his connections to League 1.

A "Mooy-type" signing I 'd love to see is Yi Jae-seong of Mainz. Aged 32, he is a goalscoring AM with high work rate.

 

I quite like that Left Winger - Bazoumana Touré (18) of Hammarby IF.
He is speedy, tricky and the real deal, can use both feet, good with the head and has marvellous potential to be even better.
