Two players worth a look that wouldn’t cost that much but play in European leagues are

Bartlomiej Wdowik, a 23 year old left back from Poland that has recently been called up to their national side. He plays for Jagiellonia
Bialystok (the team Klimala came from) but had played a big part in them being up to near the top of the Estraklasa this season with 8 goals and 2 assists in 14 games. They are all from set plays as he has 3 penalties and 4 freekicks and one direct from a corner. His freekicks are very good goals.

He is 6ft tall and has good pace, I am struggling for much footage of him playing from open play and there doesn’t seem to be any scouting articles on him yet but he certainly looks deadly from set plays. A few of his goals can be seen below.



The other is Jeppe Okkels a 24 year old winger from Elfsborg the team we got Lagerbielke from. He is a pacy around 6ft tall versatile winger, mainly right footed but decent on his left too.

He is good at getting to the byline and putting low hard crosses in or cutting in and getting shots off. He is particularly good at getting in the box when the attack is coming down the other flank. Looks a decent counter presser too. Reminds me a bit of Solbakken.

He has 11 goals and 6 assists in 28 games this season so far. He is also comfortable taking men on 1v1 or running in behind.

One year left on his deal so would likely be available for less than £3m.

 

Giannis Konstantelias. Looks a real talent.

 

Im warming to the idea of Miovski. He is mobile and has a decent touch for a big guy. Adds some much needed height to the team as well.

 

For a project signing/one for the future I’d strongly consider naj razi off shamrock rovers and loan him out for a year maybe to admira. Just turned 17 I think has had 5 first team appearances and was class for the Ireland 17s there in the euros couple of months ago. Plays left wing, right wing or cam. Apparently Real Madrid, arsenal and Chelsea all keen on him.

See going with what Izzy was saying given he was right on Palma, I wonder if a loan or loan to buy for Alberth Elis could make sense from Bordeaux. He is going to be 28 in February but even as a straight loan for covering the Asia cup might be a decent shout.

His record in MLS was really good 63 goal
Involvements in 101 games but in only about 82 games worth of minutes. He was also consistent for 3 or 4 seasons in getting strong goals and assist numbers.

Had a good season in Portugal at Boavista with 8 goals and 6 assists in 31 games for a poor team. Then he got 9 goals and assist in 20 games for a really poor Bordeaux team in Ligue 1.

Failed to get much game time on loan last year in ligue 1 but after recovering from a broken arm, got a couple of goals early on this season but has been in and out the team since.

He is comfortable playing right wing or centre forward, two positions we could do with an option in and from his MLS videos looks a threat in the air and is very quick.

 

He was one of our constant maybe players alongside Cyle Larin for a good 2/3 years before he went to Portugal. Doesn't really fit the model so I can't see us going for him, probably plenty better options for the money he'd cost as well.

I was all for it a few years back but not now.

 

It is more if we were looking at loans as Rodgers suggested to cover the Asia cup, so the cost would be fairly low. If he done well I doubt Bordeaux would demand that much for him. It’s just really to get experienced cover in for Kyogo and Maeda.

Sydney Van Hooijdonk may be one we look at again in a similar vein as he doesn’t get a look in at Bologna. Take him on loan and get an option to buy.

Aslong as Kyogo is sticking around I don’t see us spending much on another permanent out and out striker.

 

Lukas Haraslin Slovakian Central midfielder played against the huns for Sparta Prague...looked good and scored. Playing for Slovakia tonight and scored 2.

 

Right under our very nose- Miovski needs to be a name being discussed by our recruitment department. Tall, mobile, good finisher. Has given Rangers problems on a few occasions now. He could take his game to the next level with us.

 

If he was Scottish, sure. Since he's not, I'd rather we let Aberdeen keep him as long as possible. We need a few strong SPFL teams to ruin the Huns' day, every so often. I'd consider paying them money so they don't sell Duk or Miovski to anyone, on top of loaning them players.

 

We could do far worse than Miovski btw, cracking player.
