I am sure @apevrak recommended him before, looks like he would be a good fit for our team.

See for a more experienced winger Zivkovic that plays for PAOK and just scored against Hearts, wouldn’t be the worst signing in the world. Has great pace and a cracking left foot. I quite fancied signing him when he left Benfica for PAOK. Only has a year left on his deal there and is right in form at the start of this season, end of last.

You'd like to think that we're looking at players from the Europa League and Conference qualifiers. Some decent teams there that look like they're going out of their competition or Europe altogether.

Sparta Prague look like their going into the Conference.

Twente, Midtjylland or Legia, AZ all look like they're heading out.

Some very good players at those clubs that are affordable for us.

 

He would be a great signing. Left footed, got some engine on him, box to box with a eye for a pass. Can finish as well. Would be an ideal replacement if Hatate were to leave.

One of the most promising midfielders in Eliteserien along with Mannsverk and Grønbæk.

 

If we lost Hatate I quite like the look of Eduard Spetsyan at Krasnodar 23 yr old attacking midfielder... 20 goals in 50 odd games valued at 12 mill but with the situation in Russia he could maybe go for less

 

It’s sad these days when you see the EPL talk of who they are looking to offload and you think I would probably take most of them but also have little to no chance of doing so.

One thing seems true: the player wants to leave and Benfica will let him. Seems like he believes that will not be given enough minutes, taking into account the competition on the wings (Di María, Gonçalo Guedes, João Mário, Aursnes and David Neres). A key factor is that he changed agent: from his own father to Rafaela Pimenta (heir to Mino Raiola).

The terms under which he would be allowed to leave are not so clear. Some sources say Benfica will sell him for 15M€. AZ Alkmaar also rumoured to be interested in a loan. I would prefer to loan him. Benfica will lose Di María and maybe Rafa Silva next year and Andreas will have more game time.

We should be all over Lennon Miller of Motherwell. Boy is going to be class.
Arrange a deal for the end of the season and loan next season.
Scottish talent right under our nose.

 

It's the sort of deal we don't do enough of. Sign a talented, local young player but leave him where he is for a couple of years.

We'll wait until its plainly obvious he'd be good enough for us by which time he's off to the epl

Possible Loan to Buy deals that we could make for 4 positions that would change our starting 11.

Arijanet Muric, Burnley Goalkeeper. Been replaced by James Trafford, who they also signed from Manchester City. Was excellent last season for them in the championship, no idea why they spent so much on a replacement. They signed him for £2.5m but he's worth far more than that now. Again, with him not getting minutes and Burnley not having huge amounts of cash, could we tempt them with a loan to buy for say £7m? Apparently valued at £10m but are they getting that for their second choice goalkeeper? He's also Kosovo Number 1. At 24 years old, you would have a goalkeeper for the next 10 years sorted, provided we didn't sell him.

Owen Wijndal, Ajax left back. Not starting games for them so far this year and Ajax have 2 other left backs fighting it out for his position. Was bought last season for £8m but didn't have the best of seasons. Performed very well for Alkmaar and he's still only 23. Probably the most unlikely deal of all of these but he always performed very well for Alkmaar. I think he was their captain, actually. He can also play a variety of different positions as well as left back, including CM and LM.

Tommy Doye, Man City CM. We all know about him after our brief links with him earlier in the window. Would be exactly what we need in the middle of the park. Played brilliant for a Sheffield United side last year who got promotion quite comfortably. He's only 21, plenty of scope to develop. City looking for about £7m apparently. With our links, surely something we can get done.

Andreas Schjelderup. Benfica LW/AM. Was the talk of Denmark at the start of last year. Scoring goals, registering assists for fun in Denmark at the age of 18. Moved to Benfica for £8m in January but hasn't worked out for him. He apparently wants to leave. They want £11m for him. Again, we have decent links with Benfica after the Jota transfer(they made more money from our sale than they did selling him to us), surely we could work out a similar deal with them for Schjelderup. Still only 19 years old.
