Worth keeping an eye on Joel Chima Fujita today.

Decent talent.

 

For a keeper one who could be worth a look is Matevz Vidovsek, is a 23 year old Slovenian International keeper still playing in Slovenia. He is 6’6 and highly rated with a few Serie A sides including Juve keeping an eye on him.

He started out in Atalanta’s academy before leaving to play first team football. He kept 21 clean sheets in 37 games as his team won the league.

Been mentioned already but really think we should be looking at Auston Trusty from arsenal.

Big, strong, good in the air, quick, decent in the ball and left footed. Had a really good season at Birmingham last season and by all accounts Arsenal are willing to let him go.

Linked with the huns so can't imagine fee or wages will be too high either

 

I'd take Ian Maatsen from Chelsea for LB, played further up the field against Wrexham and scored 2 goals last night too, was on loan at Burnley last season, and has had good loans at Coventry and somewhere else too.

Transfermarkt has him rated at 12 mil so he might be beyond us though.

 

I'd love to see us go for Vladan Kovacevic from Rakow would be a shout, think someone suggested him before, apparantly Leverkusen are in for him tho so we'd need to be quick.

 

I defended hart for a while off the back of his leadership benefits etc. His time with us has been an overwhelming success. That said we need another viable option, we should be looking at getting rid of siegrist and go all out on Kelleher

Unlikely after buying Kwon but a physical, mobile defensive midfielder worth a look would be Batista Mendy of Angers. He’s 23 around 6’3 with good press resistance and covers the ground well. His team got relegated last year from Ligue 1 and he has a year left on his deal. Probably cost about €3-4m.

He can also drop into CB or play further up in centre midfield.


A left back option who is physical and happy to overlap and bomb on is Souleyman Doumbia, who is a 26 year old Ivory Coast international. Around 6 foot and has good paste and looks capable at either end of the park. He has nearly 100 games in ligue 1 and 50 in the Swiss top flight before that. He is a free agent.

Last is someone we were linked to a while back Jean-Kevin Duverne. He has just turned 26 but can play anywhere across the defence either full back or centre back. He has been a regular in the Stade Brest defence over the last 3 seasons with over 30 appearances in each. He isn’t the quickest though but is good on the ball and has a high duel win rate. If we were thinking of playing a three at the back he wouldn’t be a bad option given his flexibility and he is comfortable being dragged into wide areas. He is a very good progressive passer and happy to carry the ball out of defence. He is a free agent.

Edit: I wouldn’t mind Josh Maja on a free either. I am sure we were keen on him in the past.

 

Fode Ballo-Toure (Senegal/AC Milan) is looking to move in search of more regular game time. He’s stuck behind the irreplaceable Theo Hernandez at Milan.

We could do a lot worse than have a look at him.

For keeper I am surprised we haven’t looked at Luiz Junior from Famalicao. He’s only 22 but has 87 top flight games in Portugal already and over 100 if you include cup competitions.

He’s got a good size about him around 6’4 but with a pretty solid looking build. He is happy coming off his line for crosses and to command his box, is a good shot stopper and is decent if not spectacular with the ball at his feet. Also has been know to save a penalty.

I am not that bothered about resale value with Goalkeepers but Luiz Junior would come with considerable resale value given his age and profile if he done well with us.

 

Nah * Kelleher, you’d be talking £15m and up.

 

That Jiro Nakamura of Gamba Osaka who turned Bernabei inside-out might be one to keep an eye on. Only 19.
