Quite amazing that a guy who was said to be the worst player to wear the hoops in the last ten years(or words to that effect) by someone in another thread is leading this poll.

 

Broony for me. GC has played really well, but hasnt really had anything to show for it.

This season Broony has been all over th eplace and scored a couple of goals as well.

Scott Brown by a distance for me. He has been the driving force in this team all season long, especially during the injury crisis. An honourable mention should also go to Gary Caldwell though. That's the first time I've ever said that. Heid is slowly winning me over I must admit, I never used to rate the guy but he has definitely performed at a higher level this season.

 

Scotty Brown 4 me if he can keep scoring

 

totaly forgot about how good browns been this season i said hinkel i think hes been a great signing and seems to be growing in confidence.

 

Caldwell by a mile. Far more consistent and a far maturer player than Brown is at present.

 

I would say Gary Caldwell for me. He just pips Scott Brown who has also been immense this year

I have to Go with Brown too the amount of effort that guy puts into each game whilst wearing the Hoops is an example to any player who is lucky enough to grace Paradise, he has never shirked a tackle or failed to get up to support the strikers. Unfortuately he doesnt get the Goals his runs deserve but hopefull after the St Mirren game he goes on a scoring run.

Gary Caldwell has also been stand out this season ( did I really say that) he has cut out most of the stupid mistakes that had the fans dreading his name on the team sheet( me included), I am glad for him he has come through and hope he continues for a long time. Hinkel has had a good consistant season and Crosac looks like he could be the real deal. We just need to get our Strikers Scoring

 

Voted Hinkel, cant believe this guy gets stick, most consistent player and must have a fair amount of assists too. great player and is full of confidence at the minute.

Brown is the only other contender, caldwell wouldnt b in my top 5!

for me its between the Heid and Naka: i just dont accept the pash that the scottish media seems to revel in when it comes to Naka; he's too lightweight disaapears out of games blah blah blah....

naka is far and away the best football player in Scotland (though according to Billy Dodds last night on Sportscene "He's just like Barry Ferguson..." *!!!???); i rarely see Naka having a REALLY bad game he's always dangerous and when hes on form he's brilliant; just dont tell Mendes since he's already won it for one of two goals he's scored all year. Naka has 9 plus countless assists!

as for the Heid, the improvement in him since the turn of last year has been great and if anyone should get it it should be him; takes a lot of nerve to emerge from the "scapegoat" label to our best centre back and our best captain!
