Not really something to be flippant about I don't think? 155 people could have died if it weren't for a quick thinking and talented pilot.

I'm really delighted everyone is well. this pilot really deserves a medal. others get a hero status for nothing while this man saved many lives!

Nothing wrong with a joke or two on an internet forum, about even the most serious things.

Pilot did a great job, this could've easily have been a disaster.

Something similar happened to me on a plane from Alicante to Glasgow, flamingo flew in and destroyed one of the engines and we had to do an emergency landing back in Alicante. Scared me so much that I don't fly anymore.

im so proud of the guy did everythig by the book plus the fact the guy must be born to fly takes more than training to do somthing like that they are saying its a mirical but i think it was pure skill

the pilot was even walking up and down the isles while it was sinking making sure everybody was out a modern hearo just the news the world needed

been watching the news all day great stuff
