I'd rather managable debt and league winners/competitive in Europe, than no debt and these kind of performances. We need to invest to improve rather than fall backwards.

you can't expect to get great player for small amount of many.. it can happens, but usually you get what you pay...

imo the biggest problem is lack of players from our academy... ok, forrest is good for his age, but that is not enough... we always buy players from outside because of lack of talented players in our youth academy...

    -----------------------------------

this is offtopic, but for instance look at squad which you can make from players from dinamo zagreb youth academy.. all great players.. and dinamo have smaller budget than celtic:

    Ivan Kelava (Dinamo Zagreb)

    Vedran Corluka (Tottenham)
    Dejan Lovren (Lyon)
    Igro Biscan (Dinamo Zagreb)
    Sime Vrsaljko (Dinamo Zagreb)

    Luka Modric (Tottenham)
    Milan Badelj (Dinamo Zagreb)
    Jerko Leko (Dinamo Zagreb)
    Ivan Tomečak (Dinamo Zagreb)
    Niko Kranjčar (Dinamo Zagreb)

    Eduardo (Shakhtar)

No Im not mate. I dont understand what you are getting at. On one hand you are berating people for demanding the board invests in the club and saying that we cant afford it. Then in another post you say that the board will invest millions??

Under Strachan we actually spent money, though, until his last season, when we badly needed to, and didn't. And then what happened? Yeah...

No..i never said we WILL invest millions...i said i would expect us to invest more than 2-3m in one payer from now on. I said the board will determine what we CAN spend.

I have no berated anyone...ive asked them why they thinkg we can spend millions.

I cant think of any club we, the fans, consider ourselves on same level as who spend more.

Strachan consistently spent money on new players. Fact. And when he finally didn't, we lost the league, and have continued to lose the league since. Fact.

    Thanks to the board.

    1. Failure to invest in a striker in WGS last season when we were ahead in the SPL

    2. The Tony Mowbray fiasco.

Two seasons where the board first of all failed to spend and * up, and secondly spent too much and * up.

    Agree?
