Just wait. They've spent * all so far, and now they have an excuse to continue in that fashion.

No im not missing any point....forget tonight and go back to the spl...should we spend millions to stay ahead of st johnstone who have just beaten us? NO. We will and would 9 times out of 10....the team has good players who have under performed.

The club WILL invest in more players but that is not the reason we lost tonight against far poorer opposition

Im not on here to argue with you. Are you on the boards payroll. Certainly sounds like it with the fawning your doing over them.

Our team is not good enough. I dont give two * what yours or anyones opinion is on finances or turnover or whatever the * else is going on in the world of banking.

I want our club to give Lennon the funds to get players in now. We have no debt. We can afford to spend. If our board are unable to do this then they should vacate their positions, or in the case of Lawell, be sacked, and get in people who are capable.

In case you have forgotten this is the same board who were complicit in the TM affair and were happy to throw money at him at a time when we WERE in debt. Now that we are crying out for players you are saying they CANT find the money??

I really dont care, and you will be in the minority. The clubs needs players.

Well you made the statement about clubs investing millions.....NOT ME.

Its simply not true with clubs of our income. Thats a fact.

Of course we need players...thats why lennon intends to bring more in.

Oh well. I'm sure the board will now go out and sign a 30+ year old Striker who has a worse scoring record than Fraser Forster. just to trick sorry please us, again.

Got a bad feeling that we might sell one of our better players now.

I remember reading somewhere that we would struggle to sustain our current wage levels unless we start getting into the group stages of European competition again.

I agree with Kemosabe. You're acting like you're the board's representative, and why? FANS should be ambitious, not making excuses for the board not to spend money. Should fans of lower league teams just not turn up? After all, they're going to make no impact on world football, why bother?

And it's obviously not what they wanted. But how did they prove otherwise? How did they equip our team to advance?

The team were equpiied to beat sion tonight as they were to beat st johnstone...they failed but not because they dont have better players in the team....im sure some will understand that

No...we will not spend millions like some are asking...we will invest in players and the club will do it whilst moving some out...like they have in recent days.

The millions of fans who invest money every single year in Celtic. That might just bring in a few pennies, I'm sure. But also, some men involved in our board aren't exactly peasants. Millionaires. How do they expect to see a return on their money if they barely invest any? It doesn't work. If we spend a few million, we'll most likely win the league, and then get Champions League money next year. If not, we won't.

And you talked about not spending money because the gap between us and St.Johnstone is enough for us to normally win. Well, we didn't, and that gap has closed over the last few years down to the lack of investment.

I'm sure some will understand that.

The chances of us spending decent money and losing the SPL are pretty slim, and this season's debacle in Europe featuring SPL teams should've proved that.

If ourselves and R*****s are the best Scotland have, then we, allegedly in a much better financial state that the Huns, should be walking away with trophies domestically, and giving it a go in Europe. I'm not naive enough to think that we'd be gettin to a European final or any of that, but at least we could have some decent nights at Parkhead, and make a few quid in the process.
