have to say I agree with what he says too would be nice to have billion to spend but we don't we are and always have been hamstrung by the league we play in and tv money and its funny when you hear how much the managers had to spend before this season and I think the problem hasn't been as much totals but how its been spent too many players cost us a fortune like bangura who`s deal with wages probably was about 5 mill. The one question that is pertinent is does the manager have funds to spend and are the loans with options his choice because if we accept they are its makes perfect sense to get em on loan first like forster in case we waste more cash on players who don't work out.

Every quality signing he mentioned is no longer at the club. No one is disputing that we have bought good players over the past few years, but we sold too many last year that weren't replaced.

What has really * him is Maribor IMO. Most people were * off after Legia but would have forgiven it like we did Bratislava, Braga, sion etc but to see the gaping holes in our squad and not strengthen in the areas required after a second chance is unforgivable, and he has to go.

Downsizing as a result of the Huns going but? What happened to our standalone business model? I thought we didn't rely on any other clubs? He just says what suits him at the time.

    There's been no downsizing though.

The wagebill was probably higher last season than in any other season and money was spent on Mouyokolo, Van Dijk, Biton, Johansen, Boerrigter, Balde, Fridjonsson and Pukki.

Worsening has happened due to many signings not living up to expectation but spending and budgets havent went down, if anything they went up.

This season we'll be signing Scepovic and if Berget, Tonev and Wakaso turn out good them too, that will be another £8/9million spent this season in addition to whatever loan fees have been paid for them already or Denayer.

All thats left this season is Watt, Forster and Samaras yet Gordon, Denayer, Berget, Wakaso, Tonev and possibly Scepovic have all joined and then McGregor has a new contract, the wage-bill will be higher again.

Put it in perspective. We also got rid/sold Daryl Murphy, Rogne, Wanyama, Hooper, Wilson, McCourt, Lassad, Bangura & Ledley. We also had guys out on loan, as well as a few youngsters leave the club.

Would we have saved or spent money net on these would you say in regards to wages. I would hazard a guess that we saved money.

you didn't mention any of the other things into consideration. How much players we've bought and how much, sell on clauses like the 25% to Newcastle for FF, executives, coaches, manager, players (big chunk of how our club runs aswell) club employees, lawyers. Football clubs are corporations that get income from fans, player profits, ticket sales and tv money which is a joke compared to the English league. I mean our league didn't even have a sponser last year because nae * gives a * about Scottish football right now. And as much as we hate 'them' the only way all the sponsers and better tv deals are when the league gets back up to standard of old firms and the Edinburgh Darby. Nae wan cares about us playing st Johnston, Inverness every week. Lets be honest.

He said it himself, o'neill spent over 40m, strachan 38m, Lennon 30m, Deila has spent so far. That is downsizing.

I get your argument of we signed a guy from Schalke and one from Ajax compared with someone from scubthorpe and derby but the guys from Scunthorpe and derby were the top names on the list, not the third or fourth name down signed on the last day of the window through panic.

We are bringing in a fortune, our wage bill should be increasing, so should our transfer spending as time moves on, we are trying to improve.

Our level of ambition had been downsized, under o'neill we reached a European final, under wgs we were competitive in the champions league and reached the last 16 twice, while trying to improve the squad to better performance, under Lennon we got to the last 16 then fire sold all our decent players. Of the team that beat Barcelona, how many of them are still here? We've sold everyone from that team that we could more or less, and they have been replaced in the main with dross.

We used to sign players to go into the team, now we sign players to go onto the bench. Apart from van Dijk who was the last player we signed that improved us? The oft repeated aim is to come out every window better than we went in and it's bullshit

I dont see how my thread about transparency has been merged into a thread called "Peter lawwell's lies" thats a bit biased or politically incorrect. You assuming that the video my thread was talking about is lies. I would like my thread took out of this thread is "Peter lawwells lies" are a completely different subject and if people belive the thread I started about the video is lies, thats an opinion but I feel the mod should seperate my thread from this please as its basically calling the PL video a lie with no facts.

its a bit wrong from the mods point, all I'm saying. Its basically calling the video a lie which only got merged because certain people on my thread said he was lying. Doesn't mean it should be merged with "Peter lawwels lies" yeah because thats a more politically correct thread...

We haven't got more right than wrong at all, we're filled with dross at the moment. I don't have a problem with the fact we can't compete in today's market. I do also think we back our managers relatively well, however in Deilas case, he needed players before those qualifiers and it didn't happen. Leiga you could say was frustrating but forgiveable. Maribor was unforgivable.

It's no good signing players now that we've been put out of the Champions League, not once, but twice. Too little too late.
