Of course it had nowt to do with * poor tactics and the team throwing away a 3-2 lead showing appalling game management, our captain having a brain fart and giving away a penalty................????

Agree with majority of what ye say pal but with cluij i think Lenny has to take full responsibility we had enough talent at out disposal to finish that lot off and we didn,t and imo that,s was down to lenny ,we all know what how he set the team up and we saw how they performed, thats not down to anyone else but lenny.

This is why we are level with hun in europe.

Its easy to say more investment would prevent this but if lenny cant manage what he has now (not using the players he,s brought in,while playing others out of position)whos to say things would improve if he had more players at his disposal.

Had a very easy summer, hasn't he? Window been open 2 and a half months now, saw the accounts boosted £25mil by selling our prize asset and concluded a grand total of 3 first team squad signings. Must have decided he's having another easy, relaxed summer.

Firstly to make money in transfers you either have to a) develop the talent from youth team b) buy a player with the potential to develop and get better. It appears we aren't doing enough at the moment either way.

As much as I defend Lennon your entire post is valid. Lennon did make some poor decisions, you can it get away from that. That being said if had identified a quality lb (maybe boli was meant to be that) McGregor wouldnt have been playing there. That single example would have made a huge difference. The reality is though we have multiple areas that have been neglected and that impacts the bigger picture. Yes Lennon has to accept majority of blame for the scoreline against Cluj but the lack of backing from the board cost us against Athens and it has against cluj. It will cost us again unless we get some improvements in and quick

The bottom line is the squad Lenny has, if used correctly, should have seen off Cluj simple as that - I'm not even going to comment on what I had to sit and watch on Saturday, I don't want to post something in anger that I might regret.
We have massively important games coming, I just wish I was confident.

Correct. Hency why Lennon first and foremost - then certain players take the derry for the Cluj debacle.

Saturday, as you say, was just a complete abortion (scoreline aside).

Lawell made the decision to appoint him and oversaw both the Congerton appointment and the decision to appoint Hammond as head of recruitment.

Whilst I do agree that Lennon is responsible for the result and decisions made within the Cluj game, Lawell is the reason Lennon is there.

Lawell was the reason Lennon left in the first place, the reason why Rodgers left and the reason why Deila was appointed.

With that defence at the moment I would honestly fancy Cluj to do us again!! Aye, we've got the talent but middle to front only.

    Ian Bankier:

“The board considers that the group proven strategy of investment in football operations, whilst maintaining a self-sustaining financial model, has provided a stable platform for the success enjoyed in the year under review........ This approach remains entirely appropriate for us, as we seek to continue to deliver football success and, in turn, shareholder value."

All about the shareholders and making money. Joke.

Dear *, Lawwell appointed the man, it’s not hard to understand.

Also anyone that thinks he’s been backed regardless of the spend is at it, we’ve lost 14 players and brought in 3 for * sake. This wage bill has reduced massively considering these departures as well as Rodgers and all his cohorts leaving.

I say that as someone who doesn’t think Lennon should be in the job.

Lennon is a symptom though; not the cause.

How the * has a football club started as a way to help poor people become nothing but a Tory shareholders money making machine.

The anger I feel towards him can’t be put in to words. I get that adrenaline feeling running through me like the way you feel after a fight or argument any time I think about him.
