The difference in the wonderkid guidetti at feyenoord and the reborn guidetti now who's stalled through serious illness and injury is massive, i think if he was at Celtic the time feyenoord had him then he'd have rejected us but now with what's happened in his career i 'hope' it's different and we can get it done..

One extra push of quality and we would have nailed them..

 

I actually thought the signing of Griffiths was a good one when we got him, was brilliant for Hibs and came at a time when we needed a striker who would put the ball in the back of the net.

Badly need pace yea, especially to play the way Ronny wants us too, the loans havn't worked out for us at all. I actually thought Boerrigter would get a lot of game time under Ronny as he suits his set-up, the fact he hasn't says a lot (unless he has literally been injured the whole time)

 

I wasn't overly keen, he can deffo do that though, good squad player..

We are constantly told how we cannot compete with England when trying to sign players, however, if we can't compete, then that should run right through the club in my opinion. We can't match transfer fees or player's wages compared with down South, yet our CEO's salary very much fits in with people in a similar role across the border. The fact he got a 400k bonus for last season was nothing short of scandalous.

 

No we wpuldnt that rangers team in 09/10 was better than anything we could have realistically hoped to have the title before. That was the 1 year in all the time i've supported Celtic I can say they had a better team.


That would also mean we would be in 9 in a row.

 

That I have no problem with, that's not down to Lawwell, he runs the club the way he's told and if he meets the criteria he gets his bonuses etc. if Desmond turned around tomorrow and said to him spend £20m this window he'd spend £20m in that window. He's Desmond's man.

His wages etc are all decided by him. The frugal way we run the club comes from Desmond, Lawwell just implements it.

It's his snakish behavior towards fans and his lies that I can't stand. He is a * weasel. Snake in the grass.

 

So you don't think his bonus was scandalous? Of course it isn't himself that decides how much of a bonus he gets, or what merits him getting it, still doesn't take away the fact that his 400k bonus, was a disgrace. It was effectively rewarding failure in my opinion, as we went backwards as a team.

Agree 100% regarding the fans. He should have been shown the door after his "give them enough rope to hang themselves" comment.

 

I don't hold it against Lawwell. He gets told do A, B and C and you'll get £400k and he delivered that. My problems are with what those A, B and C's are if you get me.
