Attendances are down because the Rangers are gone and the league is not competitive. I don't think you can blame that on Lawwell. Unless some other teams step up there haven't been much to be excited about in the SPFL. Hopefully Aberdeen can give us a good challenge this year (and lose in the end of course) Having a weak league makes us a weaker team in Europe too.

Attendances will be up next year. The top three teams in the Championship are bigger draws and better teams than the bottom six-eight of the premiership.

Attendances were dropping long before the huns demise mate. I'm not saying it hasn't contributed but it's not the only reason.

Does his job in a financial sense but could do a lot more in terms of fighting the case for the manager when it comes to investment in playing staff.

Think the next two windows are crucial for PL and the club.

He's taken a chance with Ronny trying something different, now he needs to back his project, giving Ronny a fair crack at the job.

For instance we need to get at least one CB in during this window as we could loose both in the summer. We can't afford to be breaking in two new CBs before very important CL qualifiers.

Need to plan properly building on our domestic treble that this season will bring. :50:

He is a good money man but he has cost us more than he has done for us.

He didnt back WGS in his final January window because he knew he was off (we were also 7 points clear at the time) when we were crying out for a striker. Fletcher was available and wanted to come, WGS wanted him, the fans wanted him, Lawwell didnt at least not for 3 million anyway. We lost the league on the final day and missed automatic entry for the CL which would have brought in 20 odd million.

The following year he hired TM.

The following year he hired a rookie manager who ended up doing a great job but still this was risky.

He hired a rookie Norwegian with zero experience of Scottish or European football. Again risky.

His treatment of the Green Brigade is despicable .

He wouldn't renew Ledley and Sammy's deals making Lennys position untenable.

Overall he has been a failure the amount of revenue that we missed out on because of his gambles and tightness far exceeds, his un-ambitious downsizing.

His policies gave old co a new lease of life winning 3iar under Myth, they would have died earlier if it wasn't for him.

He is also going past his remit as a chief executive by interfering with 1st team affairs and has being doing so since he sold Misser behind WGS's back.

Were they all seasons we didn't qualify for the CL?

I think Lawell's in a pretty hard position, he's at a massive club that wants to compete at a level that the league just can't support. We are also on the doorstep of the biggest payday in football down south. We were never going to be able to continue with the spending of the MON years and were in massive debt when he left. Having gotten us out of that position and into a position of strength he now finds himself at a time where Scottish football is at it's least commercial and the calibre of player willing to come here just isn't what it used to be.

Has Lennon spent the Pukki, Balde, Boerrigter money a bit better I think we would be in a better position regarding our on field team, as it is though we have over £5m worth of talent on loan, which a club like ours can't support in the current climate, and Boerrigter a constant sick note.

In saying that I think he needs to spend this window and the next because our team isn't what it was a few years ago and we need a cash injection.

Aye, it was incredible to see how the reaction of the fans changed after his scripted interview. All the anger was directed at him after the Maribor game, fast forward a week or so, he talks about how much we are losing without Rangers in the league, and the blame is then shifted on to Deila for our CL failings.

I think he does a good job. He get's a lot of undue criticism for his spending.

So long as the situation remains as it is in Scottish football he should keep things tight. It's important we remain debt free so when Sevco finally get their act together we have cash to spend.

Can't say I like him, wouldn't back a good manager properly after he had payed his bonus for him 2 years in a row. Now has went for the cheap option in a replacement and it can be seen and he has been to tight with Ronny aswell.

And I cant say he's any better of a chief exec then most he relies on two things two break even for the year ,selling our quality players, replacing them on the cheap and relying on champions league qualification, which we haven't got this season because of both the cheap replacements staff & players and the selling quality. Players of a champions league standard.

This is a guy who has overseen massive cuts throughout the club, which has resulted in the quality of product diminishing to such standard that Celtic are now at the level of the likes of Maribor, Karagandy, Legia Warsaw, Astra Giurgiu etc. The only area which hasn't seen a significant cut or decrease is of course in the CEO's wallet. And that's even before you even take into account the way he speaks about and treats the club's own supporters!

For a million pounds a year we're certainly not getting good value for money from Peter Lawwell.

The thing is as well, he has been overseeing massive cuts in our outgoings yet his wage has increased considerably since he took over.

He is probably on more than our manager just now, there is something far wrong with that.
