    It was inevitable wasn’t it.

Problem is Desmond clearly rates him highly and isn’t open to new ideas. Typical old guy approach.

The whole ‘wait and see what happens’ approach is what ensured 10IAR was lost.

Anyone with a brain should know what’ll * happen.

He had the easiest domestic run at trophies you will ever get. For a lot of the time all we had to do was be better than Aberdeen or Motherwell to win the league. The biscuit tin mentality under his tenure cost us untold millions also. I genuinely cannot believe some are not that bothered about this.

I hope Ange tears to shreds any attempts by the * to meddle in the good set-up of transfers we have now. Should deck the greedy * upon making eye contact.

Interesting decision from Celtic although not surprising! Maybe he will have changed and will go at things differently or stay the same. Am I happy he's back, not really but whatever it is, I hope he helps towards bringing trebles after trebles plus filling the managers seat with the likes of Rodgers, Ange and other top class managers again along with some cracking players.

I know I shouldn't have been surprised when I read this but I was. Don't get it all, since he left we have all been impressed with the way we are operating, spending a little more, getting targets in early and we are as profitable as ever. He comes along and I fear it will signal a change in the way we work. Probably reading to much into it but Giakoumakis and Juaranovic ready for leaving and he turns up around the same time gives me the fear

Whilst he brought a lot of success, he also brought stagnation and played a massive part in the loss of 10iar. Which we are still correcting to this day.

He also brought disharmony between the board and the fans, let his ego come between himself and Rodgers putting the clubs priorities behind his wants. He also has his part in the Resolution 12 farce, which the board hide away and of recent times, now indignant to when brought up.

Times change, people grow, things evolve but Lawells ways, means and ego won't. They remain at top of his list. Look after number 1, despite being one of the best paid CEOs on this island for many a year.

An unnecessary appointment of yesteryear, dripping in cronyism, lack of foresight by DD. I'm not in a place to forgive him or Lennon for their parts in that season alone, yet even think about the other stuff that's held us back as a club by him.

Time will tell what will happen, and I hope Nicholson has backbone when he inevitably sticks his beak in.

If Lawell does return to his ways of old, Ange will walk and along goes our vision and coherent forward moving plan. And if that happens, he'll need a wall greater than the one of China to protect him for the shitstorm that will come his way from the fans.

We never stop...but hopefully Lawell stops his 1 man nonsense going forward.

Honest to *, Lawwell must be * himself.

Rinsed the club for tens of millions whilst hoodwinking the support. Went a step too far, was ousted, but is now back with the same tactics to hoodwink the gullible.

There’s quotes from O’Neill and Rodgers lauding Lawwell. However, their quotes after leaving/towards the end of their reign are a lot more telling.

Shocking how you hate Ange and think he's a liar. Absolutely outraged at your audacity.

I'm away for a quiet pint to calm myself down.

One thing I hate about Lawwell is he downgraded our club to allow the huns to compete with Celtic that alone is enough to tell him to * OFF, made Celtic a laughing stock to give and manager a job in the showers.

Seem to be the type of guy who just loves a moan , instead of enjoying the fact that guys like Taylor are playing really well, your almost willing him to be poor so your proven right on your unchangeable predictions, you’ll be almost gutted if we run away with the league and ange isn’t bothered by lawell, try and be a bit more positive with some of your posts, your negativity and moanin in every post becoming tedious and boring

Do you know what’s the worst part about this? When the inevitable happens (again) it’s folk like you who’ll be front and centre kidding on you knew it would happen.

It was the ones who sat and called Rodgers a ‘rat’, lauded Lennon, and lapped up Lawwell’s raised fist vs Hearts who were the loudest in berating Lawwell when 10 was flushed down the toilet.

I’m nowhere near a fan of Lawwell, he had his positive points but his ego to treat us like a game of FM and him having too much power was the downfall that overwhelmed his positive points for me. However, I’ve never seen O’Neill saying anything about him. Rodgers had a couple of moans, but hasn’t condemned him as far as I can see either.

What were the quotes your talking about?

Rodgers was a * rat. Great manager and coach for us but him getting Congerton in and giving him free reign set us back years, not to mention his narcissistic * about the likes of McGrain and Rangers fans stopping him in the street to thank him for raising the level of Scottish Football.

Also the stories that’s came out from the likes of Dembele, when he thought he was getting a move to China he tried to poach him whilst still our manager. He showed a disregard for several of our players careers when he knew he was leaving, he * Tierney, he * Rogic and it was lucky he didn’t * McGregor.

Got some questions that maybe the business execs can answer.

What is the role of the Chairman of Celtic PLC? - i thought it was just a figurehead role given to a prominent rich or connected supporter?
What is the role of a NON EXEC Director? In a board of directors?

What is the role of a Non exec chairman?

Do we really expect lawwell to get involved in the day to day or is he going approach the role like the others who have held the position before him.
