Honestly how a guy that binned Postecoglou’s CV without reading it to re-hire Neil Lennon in the showers can now be made chairman is * baffling.

If you ever thought Lawwell knew what he was doing then that’s fine, but - being very generous - he’s been woefully under equipped to be involved at Celtic since 2012 onwards.

 

Yeah always knew he was sticking with a title in the background due to the ECA European thing he was doing. I was fine with that, presummimg it was just to allow him to keep that other role.

But * this new role.

He 100% will be.
Otherwise, why give him another role/position if it's just to be a gestured title?

Not at all quiet. Bankier wasn't, so why should lawwell?
We all wanted rid of both the *, all they've done is allow lawwell to switch titles. As much as we knew bankier was a * and getting in the way, expect lawwell to be the same at every chance.

Not just a title, was never just a title for bankier.

And you're right, so * unimaginative and yet again confirmation that it is just jobs for the boys with this lot.
Even with Nicholson actually looking like he's willing to act in the best interest of the manager and the football department, his appointment was just a job for the boys effort as well.

The more things change, the more they stay the same at this club.

Would love to be proven wrong, really * would, but I highly doubt this is gonna be a continued positive direction we take with this * back in a position again.

If he starts getting involved like the old days Postecoglou will be gone at the end of the season or at first opportunity next season.

Absolutely no chance a manager like Postecoglou will put up with Lawwell’s *.

 

The most annoying thing about him being appointed is the fact that if anything goes wrong he'll get the blame. It's already started.

 

I have faith in the specy one to keep him in check.

 

We all agree he shouldn't be here but if he's been sitting in the wings without a title, having his say and we've still had all this positivity, then what will change now?

I think he'll very much take a back seat. Just my opinion..

 

Lawwell has a large amount of shares in Celtic too thanks to the 17 years he spent leeching.

That’s enough reason for him to do things his way, which he always has done at the club.

 

No coincidence that Lawwell returns at the same time all our contract talks have went to *.

Saying everyone who doesn't agree with you is deluded is a dead cert way to confirm your own delusion.

 

There could be a huge number of reasons why that's happening, assuming it's Lawwell is pure guesswork. Juranovic leaving was a rumour from the summer too.

This felt inevitable didn’t it. The less we hear from him or about him in this role the better. The only silver lining is Bankier didn’t stop us progressing under Ange but seemed the type to let others get on. Will Lawwell do that given how hands on he was a CEO?

 

Just know Lennon will be next linked with some sort of a return to the club in some weird * up capacity.
