Perth Glory vs Celtic 9/7/11 Match Thread.

Good to see the game is on the tv on Saturday morning .

 

That was his season ending game too... kinda funny, as he only played that season to avoid his legacy being a missed penalty in the 09/10 season final. He fit right into the victory team though - they're a bunch of rough *, and their fans are even worse.

Here's hoping we don't pick up any long term injuries!

Not good news. We need to get as much game time under our belts as we possibly can before the season starts in a few weeks.

 

This Saturday’s friendly against Perth Glory is under threat after heavy rain.
After Heavy rain the pitch is so wet Perth can’t use the machinery to remove the Rugby goal posts. Supposedly Perth’s drainage system is based on the one installed by Inverness Caley Thistle which caused so many problems this season.
Celtic will inspect the nib Stadium tomorrow ahead of the fixture on Saturday. If the fixture can’t go ahead it would be a disaster for Celtic only leaving two friendly’s against Partick Thistle and Melbourne Victory. In preparation for Celtic’s opening game against Hibernian on the 24th of July.
Industrial fans and two helicopters hovering just inches from the saturated surface have been used to try and dry out the sodden turf. Why did Motherwell not think of doing that.
The forecast in Perth is mild around 12-15 degrees with clear the cloudy sky’s so there shouldn’t be any future rainfall.
Lets hope that this friendly goes ahead because the last thing we need is more changes to the fixture schedule.

Aye, I'd rather we didn't play at all, if it meant Hooper, Commons or one of our other big players were going to go out and get a serious injury, ruling them out of the start of the season.
