    I make a point of not answering the door or if they are being annoyingly persistent I'll walk to the front door,open it and then slam it in their faces

    If it's a friend they know to call first or just walk in

    I actually knew a guy who was a massive fan of The Shadows, and in particular Hank Marvin.

    He saved a fortune to go to Australia to go to the home of Hank Marvin, and when he got there he went up and chapped on the door, and Hank himself opened it. The wee guy said "Hi Hank, I'm Willie from Glasgow and I'm a big fan of yours"

    Marvin then says "* off" and slams the door shut in the poor wee * face.
