So if you were up at CP for a huge game.....A league decider or whatever and you discover you have lost your wallet/ticket as your just approaching the turnstyle, next in line to enter and the turnstyle guy says....don't bother mate on ye go in....Your telling us you would walk away and miss the match?

I don't have a problem with young kids getting taken in for nothing but I don't think teenagers or adults should do it. However, it's less likely that can happen at parkhead now with the full turnstyles that are pretty narrow.

In years gone by it was the done thing to just lift the kids over but times change, the idea of allowing under 8's in for free with a full paying * is a good idea though, but still £50 for a childs season ticket is very reasonable

If he'd have lost his ticket then he would still have paid for it :84:

because they stop people who don't pay for tickets?

People say it is harmless if a few sneak in every now and then and the club don't lose money for it as they are filling an already empty seat but i feel that it undermines everyone who pays their hard-earned cash to get a ticket every week. You can't just let people come in for free when you have 40,000 others paying good money to watch the football

If I knew within myself that I'd bought a ticket for the game then yeah I'd go in. If I hadn't bought a ticket then I wouldn't be there so it wouldn't matter.

I think most of us would concur with this post Danni.....Some of us still remember vividly those days of getting a lift-o'oer,and with great affection...It just seems a bit wierd reading fellow Celtic supporters taking issue with the odd fan managing to get into a game for nowt, taking a high and mighty attitude toward it as if we had commited the crime of the century.

I'm no sayin that mate. I just think it's unfair on the people who pay their money to get in.

If we're talking about little nippers then I don't have a problem with them getting in for free and sitting on their auld man's lap.

I agree with you mate so don't get the jist of what I am saying wrong...I am not saying everyone should try skipping into CP.....or that I would go out of my way to do so myself.

What I am saying is that if I hadn't a match ticket for an important game and someone gave me a phone and was in a position to get me into see the game without taking someone elses paid for seat...I would take up the offer in a heartbeat. :50:

aye but its no really, its '£50' but if you want rangers games, which most do its an EXTRA £70 so ATG its £120, it doesnt seem like alot to some but an * ticket worth £530 + £120= £650 & dont forget the champo league/europa league games if we get in , also the cup games all are about £30 a time so we are talking for the whole season £650 + say at least 4(if we get to the G/stages) champo league tickets = £120 so thats £780 and say 2 cup games also £30 would be another £60 which would = £780 + £60 and thats a big £840. Not to forget the child cup tickets (dont know exactly how much they are) (say £15) would be £840 = another £90 and that =s £930 so its quite alot. Its kind of 'far streched' but you get what I meen? eh?

you don't need to purchase all those extra games though. £50 is a very good deal - £2.63 per game. Not many young children go to old firm games anyway

I know how expensive it is for tickets which is why most people have said they don't mind kids being brought it, nothing to stop people buying the £50/£120 season ticket for their weans and lifting them in for the ticket games.

Depending on the age of the wean would influence whether or not I'd want the OF games, for instance I wouldn't take a 5 or 6 year old to an OF game so the £50 tickets would be fine.

A lot of people are only saying it's unfair that adults try to and do get in for free - especially those who try to do it whenever they can, why should I pay for my season ticket plus the £100 quid in travel expenses per game for someone else to get in for nothing. The club may not be losing out on money as the seat would be unsold anyway, but it's taking the rest of the paying fans as mugs imo.

i totally agree that it is unacceptable for adults that try and sneak in whenever/wherever and does disrespect the hard working people who bought a ticket and paid their way in but i think we should allow the younger kids in for free

Slighty off-topic but if you ask me there should be provisions allowing for kids, say under 10, to get in for free without the risk of getting booted out. Like a section of the ground where 1 * ticket gets an accompanying child in for free, or something like that.

Just a wee point mate, there are many hard-working people who simply do not earn enough to fork out on season tickets. Don't assume anyone who cannot afford the price of the match isn't hard working, many have families to support, bills to pay and just are not earning enough to purchase a season ticket, or even the expense of the odd game here and there.

Yep. It's sad but true that.

I think we get overcharged for tickets considering the quality of the football we're watching but if the ticket prices are lowered then you can bet the standard of player we buy will get lower too.

    That's another thread altogether though.............

been reading through this and got to agree with the likes of markybhoy99. ive always paid for a ticket to see any team play, i wouldnt bother being near the stadium if i didnt have one.

i think the people that "sneak" into games do undermine those that pay for a ticket.
