    Hooper, Commons or Mulgrew for me. I voted Hooper though, as he is our most natural goalscorer and seems to have regained a lot of confidence in the last week. 5 goals in 2 games :50:

    Commons was unlucky to be taken off them, only reason he missed one was because he slipped as he was running up. I'd let Mulgrew hit one, he's a dead ball expert, so I'd imagine he would be able to take a pen

    ....I don't need you to read my mind. I couldn't care less what you think. I'm not going to post every thought I have as a pre-emptive attempt to combat your illogical nonsense. Even if I did think Scott Brown was the answer to the penalty taking question (which I certainly did not), it wouldn't make your criticisms of him any less ridiculous.

    Picked Ledley because I believe he has great composure. Was also going to go for Commons but his confidence and performances can be a wee bit erratic. Ledley seems much more consistent.

    To be honest it shouldn't matter, any penalty missed by anyone is a sitter.

    I've always said if you hit it hard to a corner you've done as much as you can and fair play to the keeper if he guesses right.

    It's an individual skill the same as any other element of the game. We need a confident penalty taker so we don't keep throwing away golden opportunities to score goals which in turn wins games.

    Any professional, maybe taking out the goalkeeper, should be capable of striking a penalty. You can 'skillfully' place the ball in the corner all you like, but if the keeper guesses right and moves early, he stops it.

    Confidence, yeah your right there, if I was Lenny I would just be looking for a volunteer.

    Everytime one of our guys miss a penalty this type of thread always pops up. Sooner or later we will be demanding our ball boys take one after the tea lady misses.
