Imo it wasnt a pen, stokes was awful all day, some of his decision making sucked and i still feel he could have stayed on his feet and scored, but a good victory next week and we won't give a flying * about yesterdays game

Would be different if this was our only chance of silverware, but these lads have got us fighting on all fronts........Mon the Hoops:50:

Definitely a penalty in my opinion. Stokes was just in the motion of striking for goal when he was taken in the back of his calf. It doesn't make sense for a striker to go down when he's about to hit the ball. The booking is ridiculous.

I think we may be getting too sidetracked by the penalty incident though. Gollum never cheated us out of the cup. Celtic did not play well enough on the day to win. It was an extremely lacklustre performance. We failed to dominate a poor Kilmarnock team and paid the price by not taking chances.

It wasnt a mistake bud, it was a total lack of effort to get to the ball, mistakes are made by us all but you have to be trying when they happen

Stonewaller for me here ...You dont have to have a lot of contact ..Anywhere else on the park and we get a free kick , because its in the box last minute and its us then its waved play on and stokes gets booked .....end of really

In modern day football its a penalty.

Soft for me but a penalty.

    Neil Lennon says stonewaller
    John Hartson says stonewaller
    Paul Hartley says stonewaller
    Mixxu Pattaleinen says stonewaller
    Craig Levein says no contact

So far in my work its 8 for a penalty,1 against none of the 8 are Celtic supporters and the 1 against is.

Their keeper was man of match
    We didnt take our chances
Kelvin Wilson and Ki switched off for a moment they scored.
Penalty not given you get some, you don't get some

Hey guys its a game of football.

True bud, Killie deserved it, i saw a lack of hunger from a good few celts, and penalty or no penalty we should have been better than Killie, but hey this shocker could be enough to fire up the bhoys for sun at mordor, i have a dream that we one day better our 7-1 score, heres hoping :icon_mrgreen:

Mate, I can't answer because to me it wasn't a dive. He was about to shoot, the defenders back leg catches Stokes' and he fell. Contact made, goalscoring oppertunity.......Penalty Celtic, Kille down to 10 men. Simple.

i think it'd have been a soft penalty and if it was the other way I'd have been shouting it was never a penalty so to me nah, no excuses

yea it would have been soft but had it been the other way around i would be more angry that our defender was in the position to have to challenge like that. sliding in from behind, especially in modern day football, is dodgy as *.
But as a lot of people have said on here, we didn't take our chances and switched off for their goal

No way Stokes would go down unless he was forced to. Penalty for me. I don't buy all this ref is a hun crap tho. Isn't that the same ref who gave us a dodgy pen at Ibrox (the one Sammy missed)

thats what ive been thinking but then the way stokes reacted make me think otherwise, no one that dives gets that angry about it so i am still not sure, ah well

No, no it wasn't. Collum is the one who gave that lot a penalty when his back was turned and was literally impossible for him to see the incident. Collum is the ref who sent off Forrest for very little and chopped a perfectly good goal off us against Hamilton last season.

Was a pen for me but we only had ourselves to blame for losing. Collum should rescind the yellow card though.
